    Why is tanking cheating? IMO it's just smart. When you're a team like the Sixers of the last decade, who struggle to enter the playoffs and usually come in as a 7th or 8th seed, why continue at that pace? Gets you nowhere, progress comes very very slow and probably will amount to nothing significant. End up making the playoffs with no real chance to win anything, and end up with your first pick being somewhere between 14th-18th overall. WTF is the point?

    I'd say it'd be smart for more teams to tank more often. Teams like Houston, Charlotte, and Indiana...WTF are they all doing battling for a playoff spot? The Pacers were never too relevant, let's just see how long it takes for them to be if they keep this pace up. It'll probably never happen if so.

    I think there was a stretch that year when they lost 19 of 21 games IIRC. Just like we copied the twin towers from SA, we also copied your "tanking" to get our big man. Now we are kicking your asses again. This is after the Lakers traded Shaq away. Pop described the Shaq/Kobe split like the breakup of the Soviet Union some .

    I wasn't at the trial so I don't know all the details. I would caution anyone to rush to judgement in these types of cases though. It helps to have all the facts...

    As for sending a message I think a hard foul is okay, but not when it causes injuries. Thats crossing the line in my opinion.
