Bottom 3: Naima, Paul and Stefano.
I really liked James, Pia and Haley today. I normally don't like Haley at all. Casey and Scotty were pretty good, everyone else was just okay to me.

I think the bottom 3 will be Paul, Thia and Naima. Paul makes me cringe. Thia was shaky and I don't think Naima will click with the voters. It's sad cuz Naima does have talent. I say Thia and Paul are goin' fishing and if the save was still available, I wouldn't use it. All around good show. Pia looked hawt in that red dress. Vavoom!!
The Casey I loved showed back up .... he and Haley were my favorites tonight (I've liked Haley, though). I liked James tonight and I'm normally not a fan.
Naima, Paul & Stefano bottom 3. IMO Naima and Paul need to go .. but I think Stefano will go over Paul.
I forgot about Thia ... she could be one to go, too.
Naima is trying too hard. Also, she's not very good.
Paul seems like he just can't get invested into a song emotionally. The beginning of Rocket Man was good because its very soft and low, but when the song picks up he kept his same weird/soft/odd voice going on and it just didn't help him. He isn't very good.
Thia is just way too boring.
Any of those three should be going home. I really liked Casey tonight and I always have, sans Smells like Teen Spirit. That's why I was glad they used the save on him last week.
Haley has grown on me, and she's one of my favorites. Maybe because she seems down to earth and I actually like her voice. Her performance of Bennie and the Jets wasn't quite what I expected at first, but after viewing it again a couple of times I did like it.
I think Jacob, Lauren and Scotty are overrated. Jacob just hasn't really gotten any better since he sang God Bless the Child. We know he can sing but he sounds the same every week.
I don't think Stefano did that great this week but he also didn't do bad. I thought it was a smart decision to pick a popular song in Tiny Dancer since he was on the verge of elimination last week.
James is clearly the best performer of the group and that helps him since people probably overlook his vocals sometimes.
Snoozefest tonight, I hope they stop doing artist themes or ballad themes for the rest of the series.

I was thinking more about Pia. Pia played it safe and sang another ballad. She probably feels she's safe for the week so another ballad won't hurt; she's probably right. When Randy told Thia about choosing a safe song, I wondered why he didn't tell Pia the same thing! AI IMHO is targeting Pia as one of the finalists along with James Durbin.
Yep, Scotty gets way too many passes. They tell Pia and Thia that they keep doing ballads and penalize them (or at least make a negative comment) and yet Scotty sounds exactly the same every week (by no fault of his own) plus his arrangements and tempo always seem the same.
Yes, and I'll make it known again, not a fan of country music.Oh stop it! You've let it be known already that you don't like country. But....yeah I do agree with you that Scotty might have a tough time with Elton's songs. Of course if Scotty adds a "little country twist" he might just nail it!!
I have to disagree with you about Scotty, but I do agree with you about Pia.
I think so too. I'm a fan of Paul's but I don't think he's American Idol material.

Meh, the sun went down for me.
The producers didn't screw this one up as bad as the last couple of weeks...and it is hard to make a 6 to 7 minute song like Tiny Dancer sound good in a minute and a half...but otherwise, they didn't destroy the song completely.
Paul ruined Rocket man...no surprise there at all...he should have been sent home a few weeks ago.
Naima...same thing...she gets worse every week instead of getting better.
Durbin was ok...but everyone seemed to over-praise him...he is this years Adam Lambert...they are promoting him so he can be in the top 3.
Casey...nice version of Your Song...I had forgotten that he had such a cool tone in his voice.
Jacob...some great phrasing and some cool lines in the song...but the ending left me a little ...meh.
Thia...beautiful tone ...even though people are calling her boring...her tone is pure..but here, the producers didn't do her any favors and she (or they) didn't hit the hook of the song Daniel ...she seemed to just shy away from hitting the notes in the hook...but boy, she is gonna break some hearts in the future...she is stunning.
Pia...nice..but very safe...plus I didn't care too much for that song.
Haley..nice pop rendition...she actually had her "moment"...surprised me.
If the Producers can step up their game...or better yet...not get too intrusive...it might still be a good end to the season.
Hopefully Paul and Naima get sent home...but I get a feeling they will let Stefano go and keep Paul...who really sucks. Stefano is the most underrated and if he chooses good songs...he is my darkhorse.
Well, it's about time Naima left. I hate to be mean but she really had nothing going for her.
I would have rather seen Paul go instead of Thia. But, I'm not too upset about it. Sometimes it looks like Paul doesn't even care about being there.

I'm cool with Naima gone, but not Thia. IMHO. Thia has just as good a voice as Pia. I really wanted Paul and Casey to be gone. I just don't get the love that Casey's receiving! The song that he sang "exposed" his weak vocals. That's why he's always growling his songs every week. Paul? Another one that should've been gone weeks ago!
Thia should try out next year.
Casey is one over-rated mofo. The judges pretty much said that when he screws up with the pitches, they like it. wtf.

Meh, I like Haley and Casey. Don't really get the hate for them.
Two people went home this week that deserved too. Thia had a great voice but was stupid and just chose boring songs each week. Sorry but you messed up, Thia.
Edit: I just watched Casey's rendition of Your Song again and it really is beautiful. He hits every note seemingly perfect and just knows what he wants to do with the song. He honestly is the best/most creative in my opinion. I don't think there is any better guy.
