apples and oranges. Krstic is (was) the only healthy big they have left right now--and he's proven to be a serviceable player over the last several years (barring injury).
But in the end I agree...why the is Splitter not out there?
If Spurs don't get their shots to start falling this could get ugly in the second half. And this is a MUST WIN!

Bench Bonner.
The most mentally weak and unathletic player on the roster should not be given the benefit of the doubt; especially considering his past performance.
i hope you guys get to post your "Bonner ting on Spurstalk" posts later in this game.
Pop's going to have the same mentality with Bonner that he does with other shooters.
"Just keep shooting"
In Pop's mind, Bonner is probably due to hit 10 in a row.
I'm not a Bonner supporter.. I think Splitter should be playing. So that's that.
Sadly, I too have come to purchase a ticket on the Anti-Bonner bandwagon. I want rebounds, post-play, and SOME defense...3 pointers just aren't doing it for me anymore.
This game is a perfect time to throw Tiago in to see what he's actually learned from the last few games. Watch how he reacts to a savvy veteran team that will get physical with him and force him to react accordingly. C'mon Pop, you can't be THAT blind.
i still hate how the Spurs defend Rondo. They literally sag off him so much that he gets to the paint at will and it creates so many open shots for their big 3....
he cant shoot but you have to mix it up against him.
Or, that guy that was starting for the Celtics earlier in the season before they traded him Urdih (or whatever his name is) . . . Point being, there are a lot of good teams that Splitter could get solid rotation minutes on.
Parker and Manu need to make quick decisions with the ball. I can't take any more idle dribbling. Team needs more ball movement, and to play more depth. I don't see what shortening the rotation is getting us. I'd rather rest the stars and play the B team compared to this.
He's a top 8 center in the league with starter's minutes. no doubt in my mind.
Spurs will lose this game if they keep playing the same way and the Bonner/Blair lineup is revisited. Boston will not shoot almost an entire 7-8 percentage points better and not be leading eventually.
seems like every team defends him like that.
If Bonner wont make these shots, he shouldnt be in the rotation.
No Splitter in the first half![]()
It's going to be interesting how Neal reacts now that he is struggling in a playoff type game.
I like Splitter too, but I think that's stretching it a bit. Better than (starting centers right now): Perkins/Marc Gasol/Dwight Howards/Joakim Noah/Marcin Gortat/Lamarcus Aldridge/Tyson Chandler/Emeka Okafor/Andrew Bynum?
48% wow, didn't Boston shoot 60%+ last time as well?
RJ for 3333333333333333333333333333333333
good start to the 2nd half with a 3 by RJ
At least Dice got a good shot in.
Yes Tony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
