eat it haters, the team has serious flaws. yes bonner is one of them but those issues are beyond him (perimeter d, pick-n-roll d, help d......manu sucking in the clutch).

Bonner is a ten man or worse. What a joke he gets 25 minutes with the recent productivity of Splitter and others.
Well actually with him on, the team plays 4 on 5 on defense and 4 on 5 on offense lately.
It may seem strange to other coaches in the league how this guy gets 25+ minutes on regular basis with a single skill that diminishes when it cares.
I disagree. It's not Bonner's fault. It's Pop'a fault because there is no way Bonner would play so badly if he never left the bench.
Id rather have 4 players on the court that have 5 with Bonner
Trade Bonner for Kwame Brown
lol entire 4th quarter and overtime
lol 5th big
lol 15 mpg
Do you even watch him play? Just focus on him for 1 game, watch ALL of his late rotations (Do you even know what a rotation is?), too many players get wide open shots because of this and make them. It's no coincidence that other teams have made runs against the Spurs while he is in the game in the past 20 games or whatever number it is.
lol next Robert Horry
lol 26 3pt% in last 13 games
Bonner should get two three point shots in the first half. If he hits at least one, then give him a look in the 2nd half. If he misses both, then sit him the rest of the game. This is getting old.
Why can't he get injuried more often??????????
Or because he doesn't get any contact out there...
but but, he is a three point threat which makes our spacing work, otherwise, it wouldnt be possible for the big three to all have 20+ points
dude sucks at everything even at running.
The Spurs just need to buy him out and move on. Bonner going to another team after would just be a plus. Same with .
Missing all those 3's is pretty damn bad, when you're a 3-point specialist. (If you're Pop, wouldn't you give Novak a look in a game like this?) But people miss shots, and have mini-slumps.
But near the end of the game, the Spurs ran a play with Tony sitting in the corner. Bonner went over and stood around in the same corner. It was like Tony had his spot and he didn't know what to do, so he just stood right next to him. Tony had to push him out of the way and point to another spot on the floor for him to go stand.
I've defended Bonner on this board, but that was one of the most seriously ing stupid things I've ever seen. He's been around too long to do something like that.
I've stayed off the Bonner hatewagon particularly since he established himself as a respectable three point shooter for much of the season. That was until tonight. Matt Bonner's annual late season meltdowns and particularly Pop's propensity to give him so many minutes during these times has me feeling very disappointed lately. Without hitting so much as one three tonight Bonner was nothing more than a liability on the floor for San Antonio. And his play, or lack thereof, help pull us down for yet another loss.
When will Pop and his staff recognize that Matt is a tremendous late season choker and bench him, permanently? I'm trying to keep the faith with the Spurs but my faith and enthusiasm is fading with every loss that piles up. Combine that with the LAL recent surge and well...we'll have to see what happens in the end.
Not at all Bonner's fault. He's playing as hard as he can when he's in the game. If you want to blame someone, blame the guy who has consistently put him into positions where he's in over his head. Tony Parker's a great player, and he wouldn't be able to play center for the Spurs either.
Look, Bonner is a very good guy, but he is just not a very good ball player. Sadly this is pro-basketball.
LOL @ this thread back firing on the OP![]()
It's not all Bonner's fault. Hill/Blair/Neal and Manu are choking some big d*ck as of late.
However, I will say that every 's d*ck gets wet when they see Bonner guarding them.
