My point was to defend Bonner against people who, without a doubt, would blame this loss on Bonner. My POINT was, our team outscored the Rockets while he was on the floor.

He hustles his ass off, he plays good defense, he rebounds at a decent rate (or at least tries hard), spreads the floor, does all the pick setting when he's on the floor, opens the lane up because Bonner's man is REQUIRED to stay on him (usually a big), and all he gets is bull from Spurs fans.

The rest of your banter really means you don't watch the games: Bonner is a mediocre defender. To the point of teams blatantly going at him possession after possession. His 3 rpg for a 6'10 guy is among the worst in the league. He doesn't stretch anything because when his shot if off, like it's been for the past dozen games, he's not worth guarding. When his shot is on, he's just not a volume shooter that actually is worth guarding with a big man (any midget running at him will make him put the ball on the floor). Furthermore, even when scorching hot, he's only going to put less than 10ppg on you.
In other words, if you're going to defend Bonner, at least look at him play.

I've posted stats many many times that shows Bonner is at LEAST an average defender. I've also shown that 4 of our top 5 lineups in terms of point differential include Matt Bonner. I don't know what other proof you want. If you think the only good that Matt Bonner brings is he tries hard, then it's pointless trying to argue with you.

Nobody is agreeing with you. Matt Bonner could have done way more to help his team than miss all of his shots and be a target for every Rocket offensive opportunities.
Take Gary Neal for an example. He scored 10 points on 4-7 shooting, yet he was -10, he helped his team by being efficient on offense. This Matt Bonner guy was supposed to be efficient on the offensive side of the court and couldn't get things done. Instead, Parker and Duncan carried his useless ass to a +2. Now, if he could actually do something positive.
