How exactly are you "owning" people? If you really owned someone, you would have made him/her want to leave the board for good. As far as I know, we're all still here. You're the only one who believes that. No one will ever take you seriously on this board. If anything, you're just owning yourself by not sticking to your word.

Look, it's not even a matter of me being right and them being wrong. It's a matter of bringing a well-thought out opinion to the discussion. So far, whenever someone has done so, I have respectfully responded to their opinion, and in some cases in the past I have even changed my view/opinion. So, when I say I own someone, it is because they aren't saying anything intelligent. They simply respond with one or two sentence responses that bring nothing to the other side of the argument, even if they're right. I could think of a million anti-Bonner angles people could use, and they don't. I might not even be pro-Bonner, I just like the debate. Since all I usually do on this board is defend Matt, there is this illusion that I think he is some sort of basketball god, when in fact it couldn't be further from the truth. In my opinion, he should be the fourth big on this team behind Tiago/McDyess/Duncan. I was very down on Tiago, and in a previous post I actually ripped him. T
This is why using small samples is so dangerous. In the small sample that I had on Tiago, he was really sucking. Since he was able to get in a rhythm when Tim went down, however, he seems to have found another gear and everytime he steps on the court I am happy to see it.
This is also why using the recent 10-15 game stretch where Bonner struggled was so stupid. People completely forgot about the early part of the season where he was having a big games for us consistantly and just wanted to use the stretch where he sucked.
Regression to the Mean (RTM) is a real thing. Bonner was not going to keep up his +50% 3-point shooting, and was due to have a terrible shooting slump. He still leads the league in 3-point%, and no one wants to give him credit for that.
Again, I think Matt Bonner is a key part of this team when he's playing 15-20 minutes. He should not be playing past the 6-minute mark of the fourth quarter though. He is a perfect change-of-pace big, where is he very very effective in small doses but his usefulness comes down as the game wears down, except on nights when he's superhuman from 3.
