Mavs have given up after that Lakers loss. They know they are stuck at the 3 seed.
or mavs could be tanking to get the 4th seed and avoid playing lakers in the 2nd if the sours hold on to 1st

The Mavs definitively tanked yesterdays. They didn't want to show their play book to the Blazers since they're matching in the 1st round.
Now the Lakers definitively wanted a win and felt pressure since the Spurs won.
The good thing about the Spurs losing streak is that the Lakers now will not tank games to rest their players on the remaining schedule. Same thing can be said about the Spurs, but they already rested the big 3, mostly TD.

Pretty smart move by the Mavs to tank for the 4th seed. They got no chance of beating LA and probably like their chances to beat the Spurs.
It'd be good for the Spurs as well because OKC matches up much better with LA than DAL and i think the Spurs would have easier time beating the Mavs.

Spurs win - mavs lakers lose.. I had the best sleep in weeks last night.
too bad Thunder lose also, i want Thunder to pass Mavs in the standing for us apparently to get easier second round matchup with the Mavs and for Lakers to get more difficult matchup for them with the Thunder.
OKC has a tough end to their schedule, plus they're two and a half games back. Highly unlikely.
I just want NO in the first round. I'll take anyone on after that.
Who ever faces this new Denver team in the 1st round may very well be the team in trouble..
