In all seriousness Miami and OKC are the only teams that give me cause for concern. tbh I'd rather go on the road to SAS for the WCF then host it at home against OKC.
Yeah...Orlando is fading fast...2nd round at best.

Like TampaDude says:::"Anything is possible." Doubtful yes, but, it's my wish list.
If we have to go up against Chicago that is fraught with peril. I don't believe they can't beat us straight up, but, I can see NY & Stern arranging for them to wiseguy us out of it. Chicago is the fair haired boy comin' up. Stern will leave us & Boston alone for 7 games.
The Heat? I don't know.
Thunder definitely give the Lakers the biggest problems out West, but I just don't see them beating a focused Laker team 4 out of 7 times without HCA.
Agreed, in the end I think there a year away. All they lack is experience, but Perkins definitely brings that with him.
Depending on how things play out this postseason I'm probably going to put a couple bills down on them winning the le next season (if there is a season).
Another quintessential Mavs season: great regular season, followed by a first-round "upset" at the hands of a younger, more athletic team. Rinse, Wash, Repeat. There won't be a Mavs-Lakers series in Round Two.
What great size did Denver have today?
Spurs are beating that ass if and when they meet in the WCF.
So the Spurs are of no concern because they don't have the size to match up, but you're concerned about Miami??
Pick a lane, bro.![]()
Mavs can beat Memphis in a series... NO without West too. Especially with home court... They just need to weather the storm and hold on to that #3 seed.
Do you really think Denver will beat a focused LA team 4 times out of 7?
You can beat LA every now and then by playing a near perfect game, like Denver did. Beating them 4 out of 7 times is a diff. story.
Actually, Denver almost threw the game away... and they were trailing most of the game... far from perfect. LA will be tough to beat at Staples during playoffs though.
Didn't see that one coming...
Too bad the NBA Playoffs aren't the NCAA Tourney.
As for your re ed prediction, how much you wanna wager on that? Name your price, and we'll have Kori oversee it (if she's willing to) like the Jag/luva bet.
Right, cause the Spurs have 2 of the 3 best players in the world. Good comparison.
Miami has no frontline. You either have the size advantage or you don't.
I actually think the Lakeshow shouldn't have much problems handling Miami in 4 out of 7. Problem is neither team will get that far.![]()
Miami causes problems for LA because of primarily because of LeBron and Wade, and the fact that they had constant trouble with drive and kick teams. Bosh? Psssh.
At any rate, even tschlong knows Portland is first round fodder... Mavs should be fine.
Bosh will disappear come playoff time. When the pressure mounts and they get a couple losses in a row, he'll be fingerpointed and cry...
Portland's definitely the most dangerous seed without HCA in the West
LA has advantages on both teams in the frontcourt, but the Heat have James and Wade. The Heat will make it out unless they have to go to Boston.
If the Lakers are healthy they will crush the Spurs...it's going to be a very traumatic experience for this site. It won't be 2001-bad, but it'll be ugly nonetheless
Agree. That said, they're a fairly poor road team.
LA? They are 26-12 on the road. How is that poor?
talking about the Blazers imho
I have Chicago right now. I think Boston is too banged up. Miami will suc b to pressure. We know Wade can perform in the playoffs... Lebron and Bosh????
Spoelstra???? Too many questions, IMO.
If both teams are healthy, I think it will be a fun series, and none of the crushing you're talking about. I think HCA could be key.
The Lakers don't worry me at all, tbh. Both teams need to get there first though. And if we lose, it won't be the first time, nor the last time.
Same thing if the Spurs win.
Portland.
We have a sub .500 record on the road, but you have to remember we've spent half the season with 9 healthy bodies and no center. We're finally healthy and we have Gerald Wallace now. We're going to be for any team to play in the playoffs.
