I love Blair but if we could replace him with this guy I'd be all for it too.

It seems he will be drafted in the 2nd round. I think we could use our 1st round pick

Trade R.J.,Blair, and bonner for denvers pick (Chris singleton). Add jordan willams and spurs probably won't be as bad as most people expect them to be. Go spurs and back to defense.

You can't trade salary (players) for picks unless the receiving team has the cap room to absorb the salary. Neither team can straight up absorb salary.

Blair was rated 11-15, pre ACL revelation, in a much stronger draft than this. If this kid really were "a bigger Blair" he'd be going top 5 in this draft.

Blair got on the map because he dominated Thabeet. Other than that, he was a great rebounder nothing more.

Williams is better than Blair right now. He is much bigger, has great hands and uses his body to shield defenders. Nice post moves. He is better than Blair and ready to help us right away.

Downside is- he cant shoot outside 10 ft, poor ft shooter, conditioning an issue, questions about size...some say hes 6-8. I stood next to him on the floor at MD Duke game, Im 6-5 and he looks about 6-10. Long arms, hard working defender
Y'Know, that's your opinion, and you're en led to it. It is the opinion of a great many scouts who get paid to do this for a living that he is a second rounder in a weak ass draft. That would most certainly NOT make him a bigger Blair.

    http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/celti...-the-safe-bets

Jordan Williams is the player among these who has the best chance to play consistent minutes on good teams. He has one great skill as a rebounder that allows a coach to put him in just for that. His strength and size will also allow him to defend many NBA big men. Offensively, he will be opportunistic around the basket and be safe with the ball.

Whether these players will become role stars, rotation players or stars is yet to be seen, but the specialty skill each of these players have gives them a better chance at sticking with an NBA team than some of their fellow prospects and a better chance at making an impact in the NBA.

Both Vucevic and Williams have been pegged as potential Celtics choices as part of Chad Ford's mock draft series. Both are intriguing big men.
