Pop just letting the league (Lakers) off the hook by NOT developing a TD/Tiago combo...

    No

Only comparing that a win doesnt allways trump that everything is ok.

Nothing new to see here. Pop is the coach for a reason but the decision to put Blair over Splitter is appalling. Splitter is just a better fit for this team.

fwiw Atlanta was pretty small all night.

That being said, wouldn't hurt for the Spurs to actually try to dictate a mismatch for once, but que sera sera...

Atlanta is a very small team and is probably the reason he didn't play.

But facts are facts: he's the 5th big on this team, even though , in my opinion, he should the the 3rd big.

What's with this talk of Atlanta being small?

    Collison: 7 ft
    Horford: 6'10
    Armstrong: 6'11
    Pachulia: 6'11

And guys like Horford are athletic as ..

sorry do you not think Bonner is the 2nd best big on this team like you said earlier this year?

I have never claimed Bonner to be the 2nd best big man on the roster. Clearly Mcdyess is and has been since he has been here. Bonner played well early in the year when Dice wasn't getting many minutes but his play has clearly dropped off as the season wears on.

This in' song is old already...the playoffs are just about here...this bull of giving Tiago garbage minutes every third or fourth game is just in' unforgivable...

What good is it for Tiago to get 5-10 minutes tomorrow?

Wanna bet that Bonner at least -DOUBLES- Tiago's minutes tomorrow????

Dyess > Splitter is not a given in my mind. I think with more consistent minutes over the course of the season, Splitter would be clearly > Dyess by now. However, I can't argue that over the course of the season the stready vet = more games won. That could in turn result in home court which could be the difference for our veteran-led team. Therefore there is no clear answer but against ATL tonight I think Splitter easily matches Dice man's productivity with equal minutes.

Feel like we got pretty lucky tonight. We were down by 9 or 10 near the end of the first half... Pop should stop tempting fate and start giving Splitter consistent minutes or it's going to start going against us again.
