I love that 60 win mark, although that does not = a le! In 03 yes, but this year it's not a given! Back then it was easy to beat the East with that, now it's not so much.

The Spurs were probably the first to 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 as well.

Unless I'm mistaken, the last two times the Spurs have set franchise records for wins, they lost in the playoffs. Congrats to them on a great regular season but it won't mean much if they can't get their mojo back for a playoff run. They sure look tough to beat when they're passing the ball well.

    +1.

Time to show the league that the Spurs just aren't regular season champs. Hopefully they step up their game in the playoffs.

I believe the Hornets got to 10 first. I know they started off really hot.

The first team to reach 60... possibly the ONLY team to reach 60 as well.

If they did, it was by an hour or two. Both teams won their tenth game on the same night.

Grats to them, this was definitely a fun season to watch. Be it maybe I'm just stuck in the old ways of defence win championships, and haven't accepted the new ways, but I don't believe they have what it takes to go all the way, but I still will cheer them on in hopes they will find a way to overcome their limitations.

IF this is how the spurs are going roll this year then to with it, I'm all in. Go get that Spurs!

Its been one of a season. Few predicted that the Spurs would reach 60 wins let alone be the first team to do so. Imo as long as the Spurs are healthy, specifically Duncan and the rest of the Big 3, they're contenders. Piling up these wins will give the Spurs some breathing room and potential to rest.

Yeah there's still more to come, hopefully, they can adjust well when Playoffs starts, play with confidence, play as a team (offense and defense), play like a champion and please to Pop, please use Splitter, Bonner is ok but please if Bonner doesn't do well in both offensive and defensive end, use Splitter instead though lack of experience but still a better option.

At the beginning of the season also, I'm not expecting a lot of them but I know they can make it to the Playoffs with a position of 3rd Seed or below but then, I was surprised that Spurs is the #1 in the league right now. If we're going to look the Off-season Movement, it just like not that big as the other team:

-Spurs drafted James Anderson. Well, he's a 20th Overall Pick and came with an injury but other said that he should be in Top 10 if not with that injury.
-Spurs re-sign Jefferson, Bonner. I know a lot of us are so pissed with this one. Jefferson was good in the earlier season but lately, he is suck again as well as Bonner, just like what was said in the other thread, he's like a "Snowman". Sure he know the system but he really don't do well right now.
-Spurs signed Tiago Spliiter. A lot of us was happy with this one and expecting a lot on him but Pop disappointed us for not giving more playing time on him.
-Spurs signed Gary Neal. I don't even know him at first but he's the leading scorer in the team, in Summer League, undefeated also on that league. And was a good shooter during that time. I don't even have an idea that he will be playing a lot of minutes because he is also a rookie but he contributed a lot all season out and became a part in the rotation though sometimes he's not playing well but still I love his confidence and his shooting.
-Spurs didn't re-sign Mason, Bogans. I know a lot of us also we're happy with this one.
-Spurs didn't also re-sign Hairston and Mahinmi. Potential also but hopefully, Hairston will return in our team after his contract ends in the Euroleague and a mature one while Mahinmi, I don't see him also returning in our team hopefully he will do well in the other team, don't know if Mavs will re-sign him also.
-Spurs signed Ferry. This is also good esp. in our future.
-Spurs waived Jerrells, Temple and Gee. They have potential also but not that impressive in our system though in Off-season, Jerrells plays well.
-And the others, Spurs signed Simmons (waived afterwards), Quinn, Novak, Green and Butler. I like the signing of Green and Butler since we really don't have a legit SF in our team, hopefully, in the future they can fit in Spurs System and will contribute a lot (both offensive and defensive end).

So as you can see, it just like the same (roster) during last season, not so major movement like the Heat, but the key right now is the health of our Big Three, hopefully, they're still healthy this Playoffs to have a shot for getting our 5th .

The two best regular seasons in Spurs history ended with 63 wins in 2006 and 62 wins in 1995 (by pace, the 1999 team would have won 61 games). Obviously, neither ended with the big prize. This is the Spurs 4th 60 win season; so far, they have 1 le (2003) to show for them.

Historically, 60 wins hasn't been a good omen for the Spurs.

Probably to add some anti jinx mojo they also added to the season the worst losing streak in the Duncan era...

Didn't Pop pass Red Auerbach in most wins with the same team by winning last night?

Actually they should have gotten to 50 about 2 games ago. They have been very fortunate, all of their woes came at the same time and after they had a nice buffer zone to absorb them.

Yes. Coach Pop now has 796 wins, Red had 795. Pop is now second to Sloan, who had 1127.

60 wins is great, but I want the 16 wins, if you catch my drift.

The 99 team would have won about 66 games. They started out something like 6-8 and then went on a 70 win pace.

In 03 is sure was! I hope it more like that and not like the others which ended badly!
