temporarily, but it likely won't be extended again...or I would be surprised if it was...continuing the patriot act
Consider yourself lucky, the lack of responsibility by the do-nothing GOP congress who let industry write their own regulation and rules for their own over-sight is what led us into this mess in the first place.....continuing massive defecit spending,
temporarily, but it likely won't be extended again...or I would be surprised if it was...continuing the patriot act
I agree, lets cut all farm and ethanol subsidies and eliminate corporate tax loop holescontinuing corporate welfare giveaways
Barry didn't have a chance against corrupt, paralyzed, polarized DC.
The Repugs are bent on ing up govt to prove to their base that govt is ed up.
Being a Chicago native I was already familiar with the guy so I wasn't expecting much. But as was previously said I didn't expect him to be like W so damn much though.
Plus, I thought anyone who wanted to be president in 2008 was absolutely insane. I think the same in 2012 as well.
LOL...
It's called the lesser of two evils.
I'm with you there. i knew he was unqualified as a leader. Being qualified by the minimum requirements of the cons ution does not make one a good leader. I think he will go down as the worse president in history.
I didn't want to see McCain as president either. ing RINO.
I figured this topic would be on page 5 by now and that can only mean two things, either you voted for Obama, or your afraid to criticize him.... in any event I understand your situation.
I didn't vote for him and I'm not afraid to critisize him.
Actually, if you refer to my election 2008 posts, you will see he has exceeded my expectations on pissing off the left.
I would like to see that post

nevermind the fact that the dems had control of the congress for how long and didnt fix a damn thing? they couldnt even pass a budget for FY '11....
i think barry o is in over his head and should have stayed in congress a little longer then 180 days before he started campaigning for president. that way he would have had a clue about what he was getting himself into.
Obama's actions in office just further prove that the president isn't actually running things.
I would be surprised if they didn't piss their pants again and extend it, but who knows: maybe they like it.
Maybe they got used to it, or presume we already did.
This man point, I who is running things
I wouldn't know which of the many posts prior to the 2008 elections it was. These were me sentiments however, and I posted such ideas in various posts and threads. I would like to show you, but I'm not going to look. for it. Feel free however to scour through the thousands of posts during that time-frame.
You don't recall me saying words to the effect that once elected, Obama would see things he didn't know before and fail on his campaign promises?
Why would you be surprised? Obama the senator voted for it, Obama the president extended it. Obama's commitment to the Patriot Act is pretty clear.
Something we agree on. Unfortunately Obama agrees with W on this and not us.
I would say : In.
I was fully aware that Obama would end up a centrist, and probably do or say things that would piss me off.
That said I have to confess to more than a little bit of disappointment that he has so closely followed in the imperial presidency footsteps of his predecessor. I expected a certain amount of disappointment, but this...
Are we better off with Bush and the ideological litmus tests in place of say, competence? no.
*That* said, there is no ing way I would ever vote another Republican into the white house. Any given GOP candidate would probably be somewhat moderate, but would have to populate his administration with the extremists that seem to run the GOP these days.
Obama campaigned on change. Well, he sure did change his campaign promises...
For those of you who Obama let down:
Hmm. I'll vote for the most qualified candidate. the party bull .
Same here.
