Kobe was skunked by Tim first and that is all that matters. It was the first time Kobe met Tim when it was money time and Tim laid down the law with a skunker. Subsequently, it rattled Kobe so much, that he got skunked the very next year in the playoffs and nothing changes that.

Recognizing Phil Jackson is completely warranted IMO... He was able to ring with MJ, Shaq and Gasol as his stars... All fairly dominant players, but with very different characteristics...
