What point do you think that you have made?

We are talking about the second options. We are not talking about the 6th option on your current roster.
My point is defense wins championshipsPERIOD.

    So?

This effects MJ having a lesser supporting cast exactly how?

You have a defensive stopper AND the big. Thats against your position and not for it.
It's just as aside during tumult. Happens all the time in these threads.

Was he not a key part of MJ 3peating the second time?

I remember when Rodman was with the Spurs toward the end and he got tangled up with somebody going for a rebound and at the end of the play he started dancin' with the guy. He just didn't give a no more.

I don't really consider Pippen an HoF either. Being on a team like the Lakers and Bulls helps.

Fact is you are making assumptions on an unknown future to make your insipid point.

    1993 Pippen vs 2001 Shaq?
    1997 Pippen vs 2008 Gasol?

I will take the elite bigs thank you very much.
You should be ashamed of yourself for posting the bolded part.

The rest of your post is debatable, but not the bolded.

    lefty with the goods.

LkrFan with the ruckus for all you muther as:

The Lake Show was just immature that year. Lakers/Bulls in 1998 would have been epic - despite Del Harris.
    Epic?

    More like epic sweep

Oh wait, the Jazz took care of that

Maybe, maybe not. Some teams (1998 Jazz) just have another team's (1998 Lakers) number. The difference between the two teams? Coaching and experience. Jerry Sloan v. Del Harris. Stockton/Malone (tons of experience) v. Shaq/Kobe (about 2 years of experience together at the time).

It's cool though. Early ass whoopings is what made Kobe continue to strive to improve his game and made him what he is today. Now he's dishing out the ass whoopings.

Anybody remember this ? Kobe send's MJ to the tree of woe in style:

At the half Kobe had 42 points, 14/16 FGAs - 8/9 from 3pt land.

Kobe dropped a double nickle on MJ. That ruthless bas showed no mercy on MJ. Brrrr! Kobe is one cold mother a!!

Difficult to locate film footage of Jordan in a Wizards uni. Stern has been confiscating every bit of the offending celluloid he can garner.

    Good find, LF!

Kobe's the master of scoring big in meaningless regular season games. Too bad the Mamba has never had one notable Finals series worth mentioning, unless you count the travesty in '04 as notable, which did make the Top Ten All-time worst list.

Those 3 suicide drives into the front of the rim Bryant made late, Game 7 Vs the Celtics last June came in mighty handy at the time, Midget.

That's when he broke the 4-4 lock with Duncan.

    tee, hee.

6-24 in the biggest game of his life isn't really an ass whooping. Quite the contrary.

So, he went down into the paint and rebounded, then when the time was ripe late in the 4th he made the refs come to him and pay tribute.

When the confetti finally flew and Bryant's wife showed up in that designer leather Laker's Jacket Duncan was holdin' the dirty end of the 5-4 stick.
