RJ Trade I think.
The recently-reached milestone of 2 million posts in this forum got me thinking about other milestones.
Obviously, I wasn't here on 7-15-2009. So just out of curiosity, was there any specific reason why it was the day that the most users were online at the same time?

Pretty sure that Google searches for something non-Spurs related were linking to a picture posted on ST.
That trade was in June.
Oh! You're right - it was right before the draft.
what about the george hill wee wee picture floating around? haha
I think it had something to do with RJ who dumped his fiancee?
SR and its legion of supporters trying to crash the ST servers
Looks like you're right:

But that as opposed to, say, the spurs winning the championship in '07?
It looks like the Jefferson story and Blair's contract were the hot threads around that time. Could be a combination of those.
The number counts guests. The RJ story was a pop culture event. People googling for info were linked to the ST thread
Yeah it was that RJ thing, I remember a load of guests were on ST that day.
Well, a lot of people are looking for dirtAll those people just got here because of that. They could care less about the Spurs and their championships, Spurs aren't popular.
I think it was the same thing with george hill when those pics leaked, so many visitors all of a sudden.
Blair and Hill were beasting at Vegas, RJ's wedding fiasco.
I'm surprised it wasn't the Tony/Eva drama
it was is RJ gay thread
AND it's my anniversary. Everyone wanted to wish me and RG happy anni.![]()
It was due to the Richard Jefferson/fiancee scandal breaking news. SpursTalk had a thread about it the week before it was in the press (on 07/09 I think), so it was high up in Google ranking when people started searching for it.
There was also a picture of RJ's ex-wife on SpursTalk that was first in Google images when you searched for her.
So between those two things, there was a ton of search engine traffic.
