Well, not entirely. But for the most part yes.
Hopefully, Stone Cold and the Rock are in storylines more than being bystanders.
I don't think it'll happen for Stone Cold though, he's involved in Tough Enough.
Kind of sucks that they mentioned this now instead of like the RR. Kind of hard to keep building a feud and doing it consistently for a year. Few month in advance would have been perfect.
Damn...who would have thought WM 27 would be remembered as Edge's last match? Here's to a great career.
He retired because he didn't want to risk anymore potential back/spine injuries.
"Less than a week after his successful le defense against Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania XXVII, World Heavyweight Champion Edge has been forced to retire from in-ring compe ion due to injury. The unexpected news brings to an end a storied WWE career spanning 13 years and consisting of 11 World le reigns.
The Rated-R Superstar had been suffering numbness and uncontrollable trembling in his arms and hands. This is not the first time Edge has experienced these symptoms of nueropraxia. An MRI in Atlanta last Monday was sent to Dr. Joseph Maroon, a renowned neurosurgeon and professor of neurosurgery at The Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After careful examination of the MRI, it was determined that Edge would never be cleared to compete again, and thus, he is forced to retire.
In 2003, Edge underwent a two level spinal fusion of the discs between his C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae. After being cleared to compete, The Rated-R Superstar returned to the ring, resulting in stenosis of the spine, or a narrowing of the spinal column, above and below the fused discs. This narrowing resulted in less and less of the vital fluid needed to protect the spinal cord. Medical professionals cannot clear Edge to compete ever again in WWE since doing so could result in paralysis or even death."
, I can't believe it. I was hoping for a christian/edge feud for the WHC soon. That was one of the matchups i wanted to see in the future.
It's a sad day for those who grew up watching Edge in those epic TLC battles. Sad day, indeed.
Damn..I was just talking about this move in another thread..I was there...5 rows back.
His work in the ring will be missed...at least he went out on top...thank GOD they didn't let Del Rio beat him at WM before his retirement.
crofl grownups watching men play fight
crofl idiots who watch movies or tv shows with fighting and think it's any different than watching wrestling. Aww...does he think action movies are real? Did I ruin his night? aww...I sowwy...
He left as a winner. Congrats to his career and there will no one who would have the same impact he did. From TLC matches, to winning money in the bank 2 times, to being one of the greatest heels, to a 11 time World champion, to retiring while being the WHC. Great career and future hall of famer no doubt.
If there was a "first ballot hall of famer" in the WWE, he'd top the list. His entertaining was phenomenal.

Fast forward to 3:40. Edge drove his head straight into Clay while attempting the spear. All the spears I've seen Edge do have never had him hold his head the way he did after this spear. I think this incident may have prompted Edge to undergo further MRI testing among all the other obvious factors.
yeah..that looked bad...definitely may have done it..
Solid bump...and since you already picked the most likely guy to win, I'll say Taker returns and wins his final rumble.
