    Assuming you mean the NBA Lottery, then it starts in 1985 with Patrick Ewing's draft class.
    Pretty much any pick after Pick 15.

    Ginobili was the 2nd to last pick in 1999. That's pretty good.

    Karl Malone @ 13 in 1985 is easily the best player drafted outside of the lottery since it was ins uted.

    I know this is not deadspin but man there are so many crazy NBA scandals still unconfirmed. Shaq is in at least half a dozen, you have Lebron's mom, the Tony Brent stuff ...

    I'll say it again unless Im in Europe and a "footballer" ...i choose NBA star over MLB or even NFL ...
