Spurs in 6..
Gino will not miss ANY games, it wasn't that serious. He is a warrior and will play.
Spurs in 6.
Grizzlies won't win,but with all that energy and youth they are going to make them really work. Spurs in 6
But HOW will he play... a broken nose threw him off last season. This arm thing better not linger
Lose/lose for SAS. Either they fall or they advance with an asterisk.
No Rudy Gay = *
tempted to say 6 but its likely 5. ginobli should be fine but the grizz have lots of bigs but nobody can make an outside shot. its gonna be up to sam young and tony allen to make jumpshots. its not a winning formula
If only LA had played Memphis...Kobe could have dropped a couple FF bombs at Gay on the bench
Grizz in 6. Without a healthy Manu the Spurs are doomed.
This. Spurs in 5 unless Manu injury is worse than it looked.
I actually wouldn't have expected Ginobili to have a great series anyway. Allen is a damn good defender. Gary Neal and George Hill will have to step it up this series
Like I said in the other thread Spurs in 6 and Mavs in 7 so goodnight to your team in round one again bro! Great year though later on.
Spurs in 6. I can see this being like the Spurs-Sonics series from 05', where the Spurs just completely dominated the Sonics in Games 1 and 2 in San Antonio, and then went to Seattle and lost a close Game 3, and got blown out in Game 4. The Spurs then followed that up with a HUGE game from Manu in Game 5 at home and closed the Sonics out in Game 6 on the road...
Reggie Evans spent the entire series trying to take Manu and/or Tony out.
Spurs catch a break with Game 1 on Sunday, although that early start could mean an ugly first half of basketball
Spurs possessing no frontline = evens out Gayless Grizz
Texted the exact same thing to my Mav fan friend earlier.
.
And I'm not pissed about playing them. That series goes 6 games max. I'm steamed about the shameless way these gots tanked on behalf of the Lakers, so they could match up with a Hornets team that is one of the worst Western Conference playoff teams we've seen in a while. No David West, and Chris Paul is basically on auto-pilot, looking for any excuse to leave New Orleans.
