The Grizzlies signed Tony Allen away from the Celtics, in case of a possible Celtics-Lakers series..

NBA is entertainment, it should be evident to anybody that it has been, and will always be, interfered with by politics..

I don't understand why people are blaming Memphis..it's not like they actually make their own decisions, they're a farm team..

It's not like Memphis was going to do any damage regardless of who they played.

Why are spurfans acting so slighted?

What Memphis did tonight was show respect to the 2-time defending champs (3-time WC champs). Gee....there's a tough decision...play the champs, or play a team that chucks 3-pointers and plays no d? hmmm....

It's a coin-toss though... MEM is 2-2 against either team this season...

Apparently the teams that actually play the game don't think so.
Look at your ass. Slithering your way back in when the water is safe, 5 game losing streaks are ended, and Bynum is okay.

In non-Manu news, one person who noticed Memphis sitting players past two nights: Tim Duncan. "Obviously, they've chosen their matchup."

What a classic end to the season. The farm team doing as they are told. The Lakers sending Sac out to the pastures and the vaunted HCA that was so precious all year long lost to Chicago at the hands of...

    the SUNS!!!!

    Let the games begin!!!!!

Memphis is run by idiots. Their only chance is to cheap shot as many Spurs as possible. They will fail.

Being that it's a series involving two small markets, do you think the refs will screw the Spurs this time?

I love your ref-bashing takes, so please don't disappoint

Memphis blows and will never get past the 2nd round. that Mickey Mouse franchise and their status as the Lakers' farm team, which they don't even try to hide at this point.

And no, I don't fear Memphis in the least as a Spurs fan. I'm more pissed at those assholes scheming to give the Lakers what is probably the worst playoff team the Western Conference has seen in a long time.

    Memphis and the Lakers.
    SA's road to the Finals:

Round 1 v. Grizzlies - SA in 6 (Grizzlies win in 6 if Manure ain't right).
    Round 2 v. Thunda - Thunda in 5

lol contention. I hope them being in the playoffs this year is not some kind of way to try to justify the Gasol trade as an even deal. It was a y trade, made by idiots who you are now prasing for being back in the playoffs.

In any case, Spurs fans shouldn't take this personally. If this was any other team no one would argue that trying to avoid the Lakers would be a valid strategy, so I won't blame Memphis for that. They could try not to make it so obvious, but I guessed they kind of embrassed their role with the Lakers.

Spurs will make quick work of them anyway.
