Also, who gives a who the Lakers or Spurs are playing because both are meeting in the WCF if we remain healthy... nothing will change that.
2010-2011 Memphis Grizzlies
Spurs in 5. Any questions?

very much true. Can't believe how many people on here are afraid of this team.
Not afraid of the Grizzlies at all. Just hoped LA would have gotten them so LA didn't have to coast through the 1st round.
The Spurs are exactly 1 game better than the Grizzlies in the year 2011. I like the Spurs to win it since they're healthier, have more experience, more weapons, and have homecourt, but this looks like it's going to be a tough series.
If they had Rudy Gay, I honestly believe this would be an unbelievably tough series. However, the fact is they have one star on that team, Zach Randolph, and the rest of that team is made up of career underachievers who have had phenomenal success post-all star break. They're relying on Tony Allen to be their #2 option on offense, and no team is going to win a playoff series with that being the case. Defensively, they are very good, but we will be too with Duncan playing 35 minutes per game.
You forgot to factor in Marc Gasol who always gives us problems.
He had one really good game against us, when we played without Duncan. Marc Gasol has been a disappointment all year and I'm nearly as worried about Gasol giving them a 20-point night as I am that Randolph might pull an Amare and average 30/12.
Edit: Take out the game Duncan missed, and he's struggled mightly against us. Don't know where you guys get your opinions from sometimes...

If Gasol and Randolph are paired together on the court, this provides some offensive rebounding for the Grizz. If you watched the games against the Grizz, the Spurs gave up some timely offensive rebounds. Marc Gasol is one big body.
Thank god Gay is njured. If he was healty NBA = ed big time.
He had 4 total offensive rebounds in games against Spurs where Tim didn't play.
Uhhhh
I'm talking about the effect of having Gasol out there, he boxes out pretty damn well. Factor in his wide frame and you have other Grizz players getting that offensive rebound or being close to getting one.
Gasol has the Darko Millic affect on the Grizzlies.
I hope so.
??
Dude, that's a bad thing.
Darko boxes out well and creates open space for Timberwolve players to get a rebound (case in point: Kevin Love).
Yup, Darko deserves all the credit for Kevin Love's season
![]()
Not all the credit, but some.
Love didn't get all those rebounds by being a freak all by his lonesome self.
Besides, the players on the Timberwolves aren't reliable shooters on a consistent basis. Factor that in and you get all these offensive rebound opportunities.
Agree to disagree.
Kevin Love is the best rebounder in basketball, and it has nothing to do with Darko Milicic. Boxing out is supposed to be done by everyone on the court, not just your bigs. Darko is a talented offensive rebounder in his own right, so I'd actually argue that hurts Kevin Love's rebounding numbers.
Let's get back to the Grizz series though.
smh... alright smart guy.

Actually think they are better without Gay. Bit like Melo, take away a high volume low percentage shooter and they improve.
But Gay or not Jefferson will be the difference.
this.
and, I mean if the Spurs are meant to win it all, then they will. No matter who they play, if you are a champion you will beat them all
The Grizz this year are as overrated as the 2005 Nuggets. Those Nuggets were the best team in basketball (record-wise) after the ASG, and the Spurs took 4 straight from them after dropping game 1.
