Exactly.
Exactly.
He's still got a few tricks up his sleeve Cul albeit a bit older.
That left hand is still a doozy if your not careful.
Don't want to see anyone hurt anymore. Manu has always played his guts out and as a fan of this game you gotta give him that.
Sucks that he's hurt. Crossed fingers for a clean MRI.
Also, you gots are not understanding what karma is. Karma is the concept that your actions in this life determine what you are in the next life, not the idea that if you do bad things, bad things happen to you.
And even if it were the latter, if would be the re ed - s that cheered Bynums injury getting what they have coming, not Manu.
This.
He's going to be alright it seems and that's all you can really ask for. All the teams, in a perfect world, will be healthy and thus the playoffs would be all the way remarkable. I'm just glad the regular season has finally come to an end and there is nothing but playoff fun ahead.
+1
All teams having key players healthy makes for much better matchups and playoffs overall.
I think this is going to end up a monster postseason for the West; it's as wide-open as I can ever remember it. Look at the separation between the top 7 West playoff teams since January 1st (roughly 50 games):
1) Lakers: 34-15 (69%)
2) Thunder: 32-15 (68%)
3) Spurs: 33-17 (66%)
4) Blazers: 32-17 (65%)
5) Mavs: 33-18 (65%)
6) Grizzlies: 32-18 (64%)
7) Nuggets: 32-19 (63%)
8) Hornets: 27-22 (55%)
Every single matchup besides LA/New Orleans is incredibly tight. The West is going to be a bloodbath just like the East was in the 80s when you had Philly, Boston, Milwaukee, and Detroit going at it.
In the vacuum that is these Boards & NBA Basketball I don't see anything wrong with coveting injury to an opponent. I don't hold it against anybody being happy about Bynum, or, hoping Kobe gets injured.
It's not personal. It's strictly business.
The goods.
At the end of the day, the players rely on having a healthy body to be able to make a living and support their families. Anybody who would hope for anything to disrupt that is a in my book.
Me & my DUNCAN, back together again. Christ, you SOB, I missed you. Being at odds with you was miserable. I hated it.
If it is any solace my feelings in this arena are parochial. I only want the player limited from the playing "field." He can be whole otherwise.
Sure, it's a fine line, but, I think it's supportable.
Hoping for an injury to spite the player is wrong and made, but hoping someone gets injured just so it increases your team's chances at winning is natural fan-hood.
This should have it's own spot at the beginning of the thread tbh.
See it was Duncans injury that fLakers fans were up & excited, So then Spurs fan did the same when Bynum went down, Now fLaker fan wants to claim karma for Manu!?!?!?
WTF!?
As an atheist, I laugh at all that re ed bull .
