i would like to say dallas in 5... but something tells me these two teams are going 6 games
Blazers in 7 imho
They made it out of the first round in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2009.

terry and kidd with the wiffs.
blazers in 6
I say Dallas in 7. Hard fought, grind it out series.
wow I wasn't aware Dallas has only won 1 playoff series in the last 10 years
They won't be. But we own Rip city in the playoffs. I have not witnessed a Blazers series win over the Lakers in my almost 30 years of watching ball. I'm sure at some point that will change. But not this year. We beat Blazers in 6 or we break their hearts again in 7 ...that's only if they beat the Mavs who i have winning in 7 ...
The Blazers worry me because if they can get Matthews & Wallace off the snide against us we'd have a real problem.
I'd rather face the Mavs, they're stagnant and we can keep Kidd in front of us at all times. They're only dynamic is Marion who is nervous in the playoffs.
This series really doesn't worry me too much.
The Mavs usually choke against lesser teams when not many people expect them to lose and they don't take them seriously enough. This year, everybody and their mom is picking this as the series where an upset could probably happen so I think the Mavs will come out and definitely take the Blazers seriously
You bring up some valid points. But miller is one of the few PG's that plays at the same speed as Fisher. Aldridge is a beast but dirk is far deadlier and more proven in the playoffs. Odom has done OK against him at times ...but plenty of others Dirk has torched us. ANd terry despite playoff suckage has a "hard-on for us" ...
Only reason i am rooting for Mavs is because i reside in Frisco and hope to attend a Laker playoff game. If chalk holds true or if OKC upsets SA I could attend a game here and a game in SA or OKC both are in driving distance so I'm hoping for NO upsets ...

...PREDICTION
Flip a coin. It’s been trendy to pick against Dallas lately, people are forgetting just how good they really are. They can play well at both ends.
I’m not forgetting, but I like what Wallace can do for Portland on Dirk, and I like the bench of Portland to steal a couple games, and that will be enough. Fear Wes Mathews!
Trail Blazers in 6.

I personally think it would be primetime readership on the ST if the Blazers lost. Imagine, if you will, the meltdown that would proceed from tlong if that were to happen? That would be even more epic powerful than anything ever seen on this board...real talk.
Mavs in 8
TlongII should be used to playoff futility from the Blazers. They haven't been out of the 1st round in 10 years.
Mavs in 6 if Roy is playing like nowadays if he can recover a little bit I'll say blazers have a shot
That is true...I also would like to see the Lakers take out the Blazers, but I still think it'll be a Lakers-Mavs 2nd round.
They beat us in 90 and 92 iirc.
Tbh I'm pretty sure Killa is actually right. Did the Lakers even make the playoffs the year after Magic retired (92)?
we got swept 3-0 that year I thought....could be wrong though
Lakers lost in the first round in 1992, 3-1 to Portland.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1992_NBA_Playoffs
Quick wikipedia says they lost to portland 3-1 in the first round in 1992. 1990 it was the Suns that beat LA
Portland beat LA 3-1 in 1992 in the first round
LA was an 8th seed and Portland was a 1
This. Just checked it too. I forgot about the Suns in 90 but I was almost positive about 92.
