Yesterday was not a great day for the Spurs, by any means. We won't know the full extent of that, really, until we know about Manu.
That being said, Spurs are still in a great position and control their own fate at this point. We still have HCA through the West, and I'm pretty sure people are overhyping this wounded Grizzlies club.
We didn't get any help from the way the cards fell, but that's just life.
lol.......
there is a thread for everything
Read this.
i want my own thread...sorry but im sad![]()
Apparently after 4 les some Spurs fans are still pussies.
I work with about a dozen jealous die hard timberwolve fans that would gladly trade places with us right now so I think as the #1 seed in the west, everything didn't turn out so bad for us as spurs fans.
Maybe some of the nay-sayers didn't know about the Spurs back in 1999 or 2003
us as spurs fans are spoiled and are so used to everything going our way so maybe thats what it is...
yes. eveything has been going our way since 06
So who was #99, and when was he on the Spurs?
I think the torn Meniscus in 2000, and Anderson's separated shoulder were worse than this year.
Many here still see the Spurs as the team that, with the drafting of David Robinson and later Tim Duncan, climbed out of the funk they had been in since they were formed. Even with Dave, we did not get over that hump until we drafted the Demon Deacon. We remember Rod Stricklands pass to nobody, or all those teams of people that were good players but did not make a good team. That's where a lot of other teams (even playoff teams) are now.
Many of us have really enjoyed the past decade or so because we saw failure so damn often before that. We aren't skeered of an injury and don't throw the coach under the bus because of a freak accident.
Not all of us started being Spurs fans the year they won the ring.
I think some are spoiled. They never knew, or they forgot what it's like to be a small market team who doesn't win anything.
Piss off.
