I couldn't really tell if he just didn't elevate enough or did defense cause him to miss the dunk attempt off Timmy's pass in the PHX game? Either way it was bad.

Allowing Bonner to get the ball is ALWAYS good defense.

Can't recall who was guarding him, but I have to think it had something to do with that. How can a 6-9 or 6-10 guy blow a cookie cutter dunk like that? Deplorable.

While he was hanging in the air, he didn't maneuver the ball around Grant Hill's arms until he could jam it down. He just needed to take the extra couple of seconds of hang time to do that. That's where Matt went wrong.

What? I see you're not buying into that. I would have thought you would actually double-take on "the extra couple of seconds of hang time to do that".

There are those who dunk and then there are guys like Matt who are rim-rollers. They get the ball up there in the vicinity and then by centrifugal force, roll the ball over the rim and.........in.

Even one nut would suffice on most nights. The extra cajone could be the difference between a deep playoff run and first round out.

Ummm... If it's the play I'm thinking of, didn't Bonner get fouled on the attempt? IIRC somebody swatted his wrist which is why the dunk didn't go in?

Shut up. Don't be injecting reality into ST hatred of Bonner.

yeah realitys overrated. It was a foul, in all truth, but it would have been cool if he had put it down then he could have came off with the and one. ill take foul shots with bonner as long as he gets up to attempt the dunk instead of that awkward where he drives into the lane, entirely turning his body away from the defender, only to cough up the ball or attempt an awkward floater/baby hook shot.

He may not have hops, but

"Bonner never received less than an "A" as final grade in any class throughout his academic career, until he received a "C" on a chemistry exam in college"
