I can't believe will.I.am is even being considered as a producer for singers
I thought it was great, but that's the type of I'm into so I can understand how not everyone likes it...very surpised about the standing ovation, but he commanded the stage and played great bass.
I'm glad this week the singers told Jimmy Ivine to shove his advice back in his money making ass. I hope it wasn't just a publicity stunt to make them look like artists.

So, far 64 year old Iggy Pop has been the hippest thing on this whole horrible reality/karaoke show.
my wife is depressed that Paul is gone. I think his "Bradley Copper" looks made her ears deaf cuz she wouldnt believe me when i said he sucks. lol
I've only really watched it since season 5, but I love Daughtry, too, and Fantasia has been very successful. Adam Lambert has also done pretty well so far ... his music is really good for cardio workouts.
Although I will admit that Taylor Hicks alone automatically takes some of that impressive-ness away.
Yeah, I don't see another Star coming out of this bunch at all and they may as well just realize the AI tour is all they are gonna get out of this. And I don't see J-Lo banging any of the contestants.
Daughtry's music is for people who are bummed out about Creed breaking up or wating for the next Nickelback record to come out. I thought they all deserved to be kicked off this week. They all had terrible performances this week. I actually expected Casey to be gone this time.

It's fun when you just take it for what it's worth. When I read that Scotty and Lauren are ALWAYS no. 1 & no. 2 in voting ... you know this is , anyway.
I'm not saying they don't have a niche, but they are moderately successful at best. Also, popularity and record sales don't carry much cache with me when evaluating talent.

Absolutely. The only way I can "enjoy" AI is if I take it for what it is . . . An amateur singing contest. I like to observe and ridicule American pop culture. I find it very entertaining.
I think Scotty irks me the most out of those remaining. I don't hate him, and I don't think he sucks, but all I still see him as is the dude from Mad Magazine:
I could understand the girls voting for Paul because he's cute (which annoys me, anyway) ... but I don't see the attraction of Scotty. Is it just the low voice? I guess when your 12 that's something you're not used to?

For all you Casey fans, what is it about Casey that only the younger generation is suppose to get? I keep hearing that most people won't like his singing b/c they just don't get it. What is it that we don't get?
It's funny that this is the perspective here now. When we were at the Top 24, most people were saying that it was the most talented group on AI in 10 years. (I don't know honestly...I never watched AI until this year.)
So, what happened? Are none of the finalists talented? Do the performances suck because of the "professionals" guiding them? Or do they not get better week-to-week because the judges 'love' every bad performance?
