So I'm going to change carriers. The wife and I have been with SBC/Cingular/AT&T for well over a decade and haven't had any problems with it, but the restricted data packages are a deal breaker now. I have unlimited data on my current phone, but since it isn't technically a smartphone, I don't qualify to be grandfathered in. I have a corporate discount with AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon... but after looking around, Sprint seems to be the cheapest by a pretty decent margin for a family plan of three.

Anybody have the Evo or Epic? Thoughts? Are either of them officially getting the 2.3 update? Is there any other phone on the horizon worth waiting for? I haven't played with any of their phones hands-on, but none of them are knocking my socks off on paper.

Love my Evo, although the new wave of phones have effectively made it an older model now. Sprint is giving me an early upgrade, so we'll have to see what they have come June.

I would look at dual core phones right now, as they pack a lot more horsepower than anything with a single proc.

That's what I was looking at, but Sprint doesn't currently have any.

The Nexus S seems like a cool phone. Looks clean and fast, and without the UI's that come with Samsungs. But it does carry the Super AMOLED screen that Samsung makes. That would be the Android phone I'd get if I was on Sprint.

That phone does looks nice. I actually called Sprint the other day asking about it and they said they had no information about when it will be released. All they can do it stick your name on a waiting list.

Well the Evo 3d and the Galaxy S II should be coming out pretty soon (summer) so I would wait for those. Also if you think a dual screen phone would work for you the Kyocera Echo got a far better review than expected from endgaget.... Not really my cup o' tea, but maybe you are.

Well I went with the Nexus S (it finally came out). I'm liking it so far. Plus, Sprint is giving out a 125 dollar credit on your bill per phone number you port over from other carriers. We ported three lines so that's a pretty nice savings. The release of Netflix is a nice bonus also.
