    sons the solution is easy ... take free throws completely out of the game and the playing field would be even. that would make it fair for everyone and make it much more difficult for the NBA to "help" certain teams/players.

    How would the line be drawn in regards to contact?

    Sure, taking free throws would even the playing field a bit with less pampering to star players but how would this affect the overall physicality of the game?

    The only way that would work would be to kick a player out after four fouls or so. It would make driving to the lane worth it if you could kick a player out early. (Otherwise, the game would be nothing but jumpshots.)
