Depending on how this postseason plays out, Kobe is probably top 5 by the end of this season.

Jordan, Kareem, Wilt, Hakeem, ... then who else? Kobe probably gets slotted fifth.

Edit: Forgot Wilt. Probably put him after Kareem.

I don't have Hakeem that high.

    MJ
    Kareem
    Magic
    Wilt
    Kobe
    Bird
    Hakeem
    Duncan
    Shaq
    Malone

People will argue Russell and Oscar being top ten, but imagine if Malone or Magic played in their era's.
    My list again since 1980

    MJ
    Kareem
    Magic
    Kobe
    Bird
    Hakeem
    Duncan
    Shaq

It's hard to compare eras. Heck, look at the Boston Marathon today... The guy ran it in 2 hrs 3 mins! That's insane.

But that doesn't mean that the runners setting records in the 50s and 60s were "slow". With time comes advanced knowledge, technology, specialization, etc etc.

If you're talking head to head, then yeah, they're out of the running no question. But I think "all time" should include achievements in ones era. I think that's why Jordan will always be the greatest, because he just dominated nearly all compe ion in the 90s.

Kobe is not even top 10 of his generation...

    1) Duncan
    2) Lebron
    3) Robinson
    4) Shaq (Oden should've been here, tbh)
    5) Horry
    6) Pierce
    7) Kerr
    8) Dirk
    9) Neal
    10) Iverson

    x 16

If you're going to come correct. Los Angeles Lakers have only 11 les. There's a Blue banner in Staples that shows that Minneapolis got 5 on their own.

Duncan's game is effective in ANY era. Bean's only good when he has a dominant big to help him. Duncan the best to ever play his position. Bean can't get any higher than #2...no matter what he does.

Of course you would think so ... duncan has owned you pretenders ...Kobe has yet to plant his foot in the Mavs ass.
Thing is he is past his prime but yall will get a taste of it next round assuming we both handle our business.

Compare Kobe this year when the Mavs and Lakers meet in round 2 vs. what Duncan gave you last year and tell me what you think?
Well of course Kobe is better than what Duncan is now you . We're talking career wise here, and career wise Duncan>Kobe.

Legacy wise, I have Russell at #1, and no one is even close. , the guy even coached a few of his own les if I remember correct. I just don't think he had the skills of the other guys mentioned in the top 10. One of the greatest compe ors in all of sports for sure.
