Why is a guy who we have a 1-16 record with and who has been accused of bragging of this record so often assigned to Mav games?

I think we're getting screwed tonight because of this. The fix is in for Dallas to make it look like Crawford is unbiased.
Even if they actually believed Donaghy was completely lying about everything, it would've been the smart thing to do to just quietly keep Crawford away from Mavs games. They have enough refs that it's completely unnecessary for him to be anywhere near them.
(I feel the same about Joe Crawford and the Spurs. Just sayin')

This is so unfair... guy clearly has an agenda against the Mavs.. 1-16 in last 17 games doesn't happen by chance... 0-16 when Dirk scores less than 50 points..

But yeah Stern assigning Dan Crawford to ref tons of Mavs games and Joe Crawford to ref tons of Spurs games is more than him being careless. He does it intentionally because he's an egomaniac who wants to send the message that he knows all about the allegations and doesn't give a .
Its still an accusation thats out there from a former ref, whether he was a snitch or not. Plus hes got the record to back it up.

He tells Spurs fans the refs robbed Tim Duncan of rings because San Antonio is a small market, then shortly after he tells Suns fans Nunez rigged the San Antonio series against them in 2007. Notice how the two don't line up? He plays whatever end of the spectrum he can to spark as much ref controversy as possible among fans.
