sons I was just thinking about this last night and the Hornets big game 1 victory in L.A. reminded me of the classic Monday Night Raw match whenever the 123 Kid upset Razor Ramon in 1993. Both the Hornets and 123 Kid were in unfriendly territories where they had little to no success winning before and were huge underdogs, but shocked the world with their victories. Can anyone else think of a comparable upset? video footage below ...

I remember that match. It was crazy. I think they had a rematch the following week and the Kid won again. He actually had a nice career afterwards as the 123 Kid, 6-Pack, and X-Pak before suc bing to drug problems. I actually remember him as a skinny Lighting Kid before coming to WWF.

Pro Wrestling was huge in the deep South in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, especially in Memphis and Biloxi.

son I agree with you to a certain extent. Most wrestling fans usually grow out of that by their early twenties and then transfer their attention over to other forms of controlled entertainment like the NBA, Dungeons and Dragons, online gaming (XBOX, Playstation, etc.).

You're right. I stopped watching after college, and have a PS3 now even though I always played video games growing up.

Funny thing I missed the Stone cold, Rock era whatever it was called. From what i hear the chicks were hotter and the language more adult.

I admit when I heard the Rock was back it peaked my interest and I watched a few RAW just to see the talking. but now the layoffs are here and i could care less.

The problem with Goldberg was that he actually started believing the was real, and that he should stay undefeated forever. He never wanted to put anyone over or job for anyone. Then he started ing and complaining about the business that made him all of his millions. him
