That drive to win Kobe has is equal parts scary and admirable.
Yeah, but it's not the same.
That drive to win Kobe has is equal parts scary and admirable.
I don't apologize for Kobe:::he raped. He quit in the Phoenix series. He ratted out Daddy. I wish he'd follow Artest and make a clean breast of his sins. He won't.
We all fight our battles.
would u be mad if it was lakers and bulls in the finals and rose goes jordan on the lakes

I know; I'm just having fun.
Jordan 6
Kobe 5
6+5=11
So Jordan and Kobe combined equal RussellPERIOD
Duncan top 8 and by consensus best at this position - Bryant who has never led a team without substantial talent anywhere is borderline top ten period.
Kobe by the way is a non gaudy #17 in PER all time NBA as well, while Duncan whose teams also have a higher winning percentage is top ten (9th).
PER is not a perfect stat but since Duncan has also been better defender during his career and is also top ten all time blocks, come back with a real arguement. Duncan is the better and more accomplished all around NBA player.

I do not hate either by the way, just hate Bryant's actions especially his putting himself into the Denver situation - even though it was not enough to convict for rape it was enough for a civil settlement. The fact that the NBA is using Kobe in commercials is a sad commentary on values and the fact that any father would buy a jersey for his kid of Kobe reflects on different values than I have (my boy will never wear a KB jersey as long as he lives in my house).

So if that's the case, you must have liked Jordan before you liked Kobe then, if all your loving is the amount of wins, or how he dominated, you should love Jordan, maybe not as much as Kobe, but at least close to it.
If you think, LBJ is top ten all time, and a lot of people already think that, then Kobe has to be top ten at least, because at this point he's better than LBJ.
No. Jordan was a means to an end. He kept the Suns out. I'll forever be indebted to him for that.
Horry with 7 would be condered much better player than both, if your reasoning were right.
However, Horry rode the Hakeem's coat tail for 2 championships, then he rode Shaq's coat tail (as did Kobe) for another 3 ch, finally he rode Duncan's coat tail for another 2 ch.
Kobe was a great robin for the three-peat as Horry was a great role player. Neither can compare with Duncan.
Why do you hate the suns so much, i'm curious. Don't get me wrong it's funny, but why though.
Did you follow them for years only to see nothing?
Is DOK destined to be a laker fan then? or Kobe fan at least?
Fine. You do the Horry one. I'm stickin' with:::
Kobe: 5
Duncan: 4
Seriously, every Spurfan who thinks that Kobe is nowhere near Duncan on the "All-time" great list should just be demoted to GNSF status.
I don't know, it's a mystery as to the origin. I just do. I hate those s.
Kobe for whatever you think of him also has to have had the worst shooting percentage of a finals MVP ever 6 for 24 with brick after brick after brick and the Lakers basically won in spite of him (although he did grab a bunch of rebounds). LOL at that MVP finals game clinching "non" performance probably the most nebulous of all time!
I wonder if it's like meeting the girl next door, and she's so beautiful and intelligent, and you think wow I really got something here, and then she refuses to sleep with you, and your whole image of her is blown. Now she's no longer your dream girl...she's just another ing tease...and you loathe her for that.
Great post. Say btw does anyone know whatever happened to that poster called Quit Hatin'?
5 star post. Would read again
Rummpd with the goods.
He missed so many shots it was mind boggling![]()
He is in the ball park for sure just a handful of spots beneath Duncan with Kobe's pisspoor PER, over-rated pseudo clutch stats (see ESPN articles about that) and his carpet bagging onto Shaq, Gasol/Odom/Bynum for les.
Kobe with the teams Duncan had may never have won a single le, but surely he would never have gotten 4 - he is just not as dominant all around as Duncan was.
- "Yeah, you bas s, I'm still here."
- "Papillon" - "Papillon"
Honestly if Duncan had gone to the Celtics, he probably would have gone back to back by now and have won more championships.
Duncan's a great player on a mediocre team that had a stubborn front office who chose to draft Europeans who look better thanks to Duncan.
