The Spurs need to make more shots.
since Jan. 2011:
# of Spurs oppts held under 45%:
January: 9 of 15 oppts held under 45%
February: 8 of 12 oppts held under 45%
March: 1 of 16 oppts held under 45%
April: 2 of 7 oppts held under 45%
this lends itself to the thought that the move to start Antonio McDyess has been a costly one. by moving Dyess to the starting line up you rid the 2nd team of a legitimate big man. Dejuan Blair, a player that is often lost when a crew cannot carry him, is looked at as a big. Dejuan cannot clearly perform under that moniker.
imo, it's better to shuffle Dejuan into the starting line up where Tim/Tony/Manu can hide his flaws. this moves Dyess back to the bench where he was spectacular in early February.
with that said, GO SPURS GO!![]()
The Spurs need to make more shots.
Spurs is one of the worst defensive team currently.
Well, at least according to the Express News this morning Dejuan Blair has aced the Whataburgers and strawberry fantas. Good freaking grief, somebody remind this kid he's in the NBA, is undersized so needs to go the extra mile in maintaining conditioning and giving himself any extra edge he can get.
This...Spurs have lost one game all season long when they out-shoot their opponent. I mean people realize that the Spurs are a slower version of the Phoenix Suns this season, right? Quit asking for defense that isn't going to be there...only half joking.
Good observation. Splitter needs to be implemented too, even for 10 to 15min.
