Even though Gorillaz is still one of my favorites, that thread was made for the sake of nostalgia. Just like the 90s thread I was responding to, I was posting what made me think of the previous decade, not what I thought the best music was. If I had done the same for the 90s I would've posted a bunch of Ace of Base, but that doesn't mean I think they represent the best quality of music for the 90s
