The energy is good. But do you think they can get it done in Memphis? It doesn't even seem possible at this point, if they're struggling this much on their homecourt.
Duncan is saving his energy for the second half!

This team reminds me of the Jazz a few years ago. They look like they have vacation plans already.
Grizzlies shooting 38% and still have the lead ... I do not understand how this happens
If Memphis is going to keep staying home on the perimeter, the perimeter guys are going to have to start driving to the basket and if not finish (like they did in the 1st quarter) dump it off to the bigs.
If Spur are struggling to play against a 8th seed how the do they think they are a serious championship contender?
Spurs are in "tail-between-legs" mode. Everyone except Manu at least. Tim is once again getting frozen out.
He won't get the ball. They just go away from him and let the role players up..
dice/hill 2-9 with 4 points and 5 fouls, lol horrible
The Spurs are in defer mode. Someone needs to be in attack mode.
McDyess is garbage once again. Bonner isn't much better but at least he's hustling his ass off. No way Splitter plays an worse than these two.
Neal needs more shots. Jefferson is staying aggressive.
Hill needs to step up.
no jump shot by Timmy ... is Gasol that long?
They are playing a team that tanked to get to 8th seed.
duncan got touches, he just passed it out every single time.
we're playing really horrible right now, but that's how we did in the regular season. we'll turn it up in the second, or we won't and we'll go down 0-2.
i'm sure pop already has his post game answers ready:
"they made shots
we missed shots
need to stay focused
zach randolph is an incredible young player"
Big 3 all have to come out hard for 20 plus min
This is the season..
The difference in the past is defense and energy. Usually at least one of those is missing in those cases.
Look, the meltdowns and failure to close out in the last few weeks is a real problem, but it's like a shooting slump. You have to just keep doing what you do and hope to work through it.
Im still waiting for them to run another play for Neal. Tony needs to move the ball around. And get Timmy involved. Right now Tony and Hill seem to be hogging the ball and taking everyone out of their offense. The defense is ok, but they keep giving up offensive rebounds and turning the ball over. Damn.
Spurs are getting swept...thinking the Spurs could extend this to 6 was giving them way too much credit...No Splitter, missed FT's, stupid turnovers...this team is worse than the 2007 Mavs, at least Golden State was shooting lights out that series...
Ginobli looks pretty good considering his injury.
Duncan solid once again. Needs more looks though.
mcdyess is washed up.
They are not playing how they've played all year. They changed it up (POP) at the start of the playoffs. Now they are suddenly a halfcourt team. Neal doesn't stop and shoot the 3 anymore, now he's more careful or just doesn't see the floor. RJ doesn't attack the rim (pussy) and Tony just looks lost. Everyone wants to turn the spotlight from themselves somehow.
Tim is not the Tim of 2005. No other bigs on the floor since Dice is again a no show.
As it's been pointed out, with the looming lockout & international off-season play (thanks, guys) this is probably as good as it gets for the Spurs for quite some time. What a pity if we go out like chumps, but more positive outcomes are unlikely given Pop's unsound coaching.
