Isn't Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood supposed to be #3?

Nah, it's just Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. 3 is supposed to come out later this year but I haven't been able to find out when.

am I the only one who was completely disillusioned by the whole dna-memory-not-really-happening structure?

god, I don't think I ever had more anticipation for a game than the first Assassin's Creed, I loved the Prince of Persia games, I loved stealth games, I love Teardrop by Massive Attack...

I played the first "memory block" and never played again

You missed out on some awesome games and brotherhood was really a 2.5 it was just cut material from 2 and they made a whole game out of it.

You should try it again. The gameplay is really good (more so AC2 and Brotherhood than AC1) The present day scenes aren't that intrusive in the first game, but increase in content as they go along. The storyline is very strong, but requires somewhat of a commitment because it's so complicated.

Also it's very time consuming if you don't just go for the missions. There's so much to do. I never get tired of just killing guards however. I like using the minions (that's what I call them) to kill people. It's funny how they drop out of thin air sometimes.

They could do a lot more with it though. I would like to be able to fly around with the small glider from a lot of locations and just firebomb the out of people. Also, the 1st one allowed you to kill anyone, but this one just desyncs you if you kill more than just a couple of citizens. I used to kill everyone.

Which is why I said it's a commitment. Like if you don't take the time to find the "Truth" segments, you miss out on a lot.
