If I am starting a team now, can I select "none of the above"?

Duncan is 1 year from retirement and Bynum is 1 injury from retirement.

I will just take a rain check.

Lets see how many ways spurfan can come up with to dodge the question...

Duncan is still better defensively and a more proven compe or when it counts but Bynum has an incredible upside on both sides of the ball and if he stays healthy will be a great NBA center.

Duncan would look a lot better with Odom/Gasol, instead of Bonner/Blair..

Idk, I don't think Duncan's ever been shut down by Aaron Gray though js.

Are we talking about knees or overall?

Duncan led the Spurs to 4 rings, but he is now past his prime.

Bynum is still just a kid, with most of his career still in front of him.

    Time will tell.

The question was who is better not who was better (and had the better career). Quit pussy-footing around and answer the question, Spurfan.

In other words, he needs someone to carry him. Answer the question, Spurfan: who is better right now?

The amount of "Duncan > Gasol " posts in this thread probably answers the OP's question.

In career achievement? No debates there.

Duncan over Bynum, easy. Bynum's a better rebounder and probably a better on-man defender now, but Duncan is still more capable than Bynum in just about any other category.

Probably won't be true next year about this time if Bynum doesn't blow out a leg again.

    Bynum
    Points-11.3
    Rebounds- 9.4
    Blocks- 2.0
    Fg%- .574

    Duncan
    Points- 13.4
    Rebounds- 8.9
    Blocks- 1.9
    Fg% - .500

Yes, he is OBVIOUSLY better. Thats not a homer opinion at all. Bynum's fg% is 7% higher. *GASP* According to spurfan logic that means he is a better player! Or does that argument only work when we use it against Kobe? It's not convenient for spurfan right now so we'll just ignore it. Just like the free throw differential ing right spurfan?

Then why has Bynum dominated Duncan their last 3 matchups?

Even when Duncan's getting dirt tossed on his grave he's still better than Bynum.

How far has Duncan fallen when spurfan is reduced to bragging about the best player in the history of their franchise being better than a role player.

What did you really expect in a Spurs forum? If you said Neal/Bryant, they would have made a case for Neal.

I'm not sure why you'd bait Spurs Fans. You know the answer, yet, you know the answer your going to get.

How has Duncan done in his matchups against Bynum this season? Can a spurfan fill me in on what his averages were? Since he's so much batter I'm sure they are amazing.

Since Bynum is so much better than Duncan, I expect the Lakers to sweep the Spurs if they meet in the WCF. If they even lose one game, it would be such a disgrace.

With that logic, Dwight Howard should be a shoe in to win the championship this year.

Bynum: 2 in only 6 years. 23 years old and is on the upside of his career. Won't reach prime for 2-3 more years.

Duncan: 4 in 14 years. 35 years old and on the downside of his career. Past prime for 2-3 years.
FIFY to give perspective. No thanks necessary.
