Anonymous has stated publicly that they are not responsible for this.... weather its true or not remains to be seen, but I would lean towards believing that it was not Anonymous.

what sony can just do is block the ports from the ps3 from hoping onto their network or best brick it on next firmware

im not upset it's down or anything but just wanna put it out there for all those fellow ps3 netflixters that netflix still works online on the ps3 lol.. it says one needs to be online to watch the movies and we're just like 'sure ok whatever'..
Yeah I used Netflix yesterday. I could give two s about PSN being down but I rarely use anything online other than Netflix and that still works.
I would say Netflix is all that really matters to me as well, but I can just stream off my laptop or , even the 360.
PSN is probably just garbage.

Xbox live was down for a week and it was during Christmas.
My understanding live was down 2 weeks when Halo 3 came out. This from next gen tactics. I don't remember that but I don't think I was doing online back then.

Our efforts to resolve this matter involve re-building our system to further strengthen our network infrastructure.
