Nuggets guard J.R. Smith, who played just six minutes in Wednesday night's Game 2, said there's a "strong possibility" he won't sign with the Nuggets this summer as a free agent, expressing frustration Thursday after the Nuggets went down 0-2 against Oklahoma City in the playoffs.

"There's a strong possibility as of right now," Smith said. "It's not going the way I planned it to go. It's a tough situation. I want to be here, I love the fans and everything about the city. It's just maybe not my fit."

The Nuggets had a team meeting on Thursday and Smith said the team didn't have "a pulse" as they regrouped at Pepsi Center.

I would love for Smith to come to Dallas.

As much of a bonehead as he is, that actually works in his favor because he has no fear of taking any shot, anytime.

JR Smith, lockerroom cancer, into full disease recurrence in the middle of the playoffs.

tbh I wish we could somehow trade our spares for thugs/cheap shot artists with a little bit of skill

    Barea for Smith

    Cardinal for Barnes

    Do it Cubes!

JR is the last ing sandbag they need to cut off. Once Nuggets cut off that piece of , they will propel to the stratosphere. Imagine, drop that piece of and a couple of small pieces and pick up a franchise player.

Definitely, I can see him and Kobe putting up combined stats of 17/60 (FGM-FGA) consistently throughout the season.

Kobe would never in a million years sign off on that. , he was twitchin' & switching seats when that Trey Johnson kid started hoistin' 'em up first game out.

Just as long as the new team never carpools when J.R. Smith is driving, he'll be a good role player and a model of comic relief for whomever he signs with.

Smith should sign with a uptempo team (that encourages him to shoot) but that team needs a savy PG and mentally tough coach that can keep him under control ...

Not a great fit TBH ...they dont play that fast ... and he is undisciplined ...

Phoenix would be a great fit once VC leaves ...Nash could make him rich he should not sign a long-term deal until after he signs with Suns ...
