Can we get some videos of white folks fighting in fast food restaurants, maybe like the What a Burger guys and that guy that gets tazed in the Subway? Although both those were pretty tame compared to this and there hasn't been 3 or 4 within a week of one another.

Up and running when someone threatens your way of life isn't an old age thing.
Not exclusively, but being able to is often an "older" age thing.

And let's not kid ourselves, it's not "someone". It's "something" and that something is overpopulation.

I remodeled my house in '95 and rented a house in the 'nice" part of Monte Vista. I was in bed reading my daughter a story when I heard my wifes hard loaded suburban start about 6' on the other side of the wall. I was out the front door in seconds as he hit the bottom of the driveway (backing up) and I was looking at him over the sights of a .44 mag Redhawk. I'm confident I could have double tapped that little bas center mass. I didn't. As pissed as I was it just wasn't worth it. Got it back two days later without the custom wheels and stereo and insurance paid for it. I think about that a lot. , I could still be in jail for doing what I really wanted to do.
I thought Texas was the one state where you were allowed to kill while defending your property (could be wrong though).

Nope. Not in that case. The little banger was just stealing my car and not threatening my life backing out the driveway.

You are a wise man. There's no vehicle worth that. You might not be in jail, but you would be paying civil costs and lawyer fees for the rest of your life, you could buy 40 trucks.

IMO you should be able to kill while defending your property, it's an obvious law that for some reason no state has.

Texas has the castle law as does Colorado.

You can kill and get a no bill from a GJ, but you will still face civil court and lawyers fees. Laws address the criminal aspect.

Well I knew you weren't allowed to do it in AZ, I just think it should be allowed. It would sure as deter a lot of theft. Breaking into a car is a lot less daunting of a crime knowing that if the owner catches you he can't blow your head off.

Surprisingly it doesn't deter it as much as you think just as the death penalty doesn't stop death row from being overcrowded.

Most people who can use deadly force will not, even if their life is in danger. They say they will, but tests have shown and real life instances have proven that they will not pull the trigger. The criminal will pull the trigger at a much much higher rate.

Just as death row is to stop an individual, forever, CHL is to stop an attacker. It's to protect YOU, not to deter anything. Any deterrence it might have is a side effect.

Let's not kid ourselves, then. Running from your home solely because someone threatens to take something from you is the pussiest imaginable. I've lived in this area my entire life, and it is one of the worst in SA "by the stats." My dad had a vehicle stolen once when I was a boy; the idiot thief ran out of gas and it was quickly recovered. My truck was broken into two years ago and they were too stupid to do more than damage my plate-less radio (nothing else even close to value in the vehicle). All of 2 incidents over 30 years in this part of town.

According to your logic, I should have moved a long time ago. It's a bad area and more break-ins will occur. Right? You're so quick to brand an area by how many times someone breaks into a car, so quick to suggest abandoning homes because of a few bad apples.

He unlawfully entered your vehicle. It applies. You didn't have to see him enter it just as you don't have to see a burglar enter your home.

How do you know? It's never been legal. It's different than the death penalty as people who are willing to commit crimes that put them in prison for life probably won't be deterred. Someone who's into petty theft and nothing else might get scared of the idea of losing his life just to steal something stupid from someone's car. The risk outweighs to reward.

If your is getting taken, you are a fool if you stick around. You obviously cannot stop it. It's like getting your ass kicked every day at the same place. You aren't learning to fight, you are just being a punching bag. Stop going to that place. Do yourself a favor. Heroics are for the movies. Moral victories don't do for me like a nice spread in the country does.

Crime exists. It didn't stop when CHL passed. Cars are stolen even after the Castle Doctrine. There are surely residuals, but are they enough to call it a deterrent?

No. I don't care if you move or not.

But it's either about money or about pride. If you are stuck financially, you have no choice.

Well, until you guys have actually centered sights on a bad guy and run the legal implications through your head at light speed you won't get it.

You should, though. It could be a of a life changer.
