    ~14% effective FIT rate.

We got a tax credit for buying a BMW.
How did a BMW qualify your for a tax credit? That seems like an odd one.

Actually, what does the government do that's not odd?

hit a 4 when it should have been a 3.

    still ing ridiculous
I am going to guess that includes Medicare/SS, or simply self-employment.

Your tax burden should not be all that high at that income level.

Having no deductions, I paid the full freight, but I am one of those who does not feel over-taxed.

I don't like paying taxes, but I don't want to leave the country worse off than it was when I made my living in it...so I am willing to pay my full freight.
At some point in my career arc, I will be getting into some hefty tax brackets, and I won't be one of the ones ing about it.

    19% Federal Income Tax
    ~7.5% FICA/Medicare/Medicaid
    3.07% Pa State Income Tax
.75% Indiana Area School District Income Tax (Plus 7K property Taxes)
    .5% White Township Income Tax

Which, considering our Federal Budget Deficit & and there are 5 members in my family, is about $27,500 short of what it should have been

5 family members? No problem. Y'all still owe $220,000 of the debt.
