Is this red? = yes
any contact? = no
But Madrid obviously didn't send videos UEFA and they didn't win because they played against 10.......... they were the better team........

Crouch did actually go to the ball and lol at ing Marcelo celebrating..... pathetic.
A lot of red herring arguments in this thread.
A couple of pages back people were showing still images to show there was contact. When the full video shows that it's flase, we're getting postings of videos of RMD player being assholes.
I have no doubt RMD as just as conniving in the past but this is about the game on Wednesday. RMD was rightfully burned in this game for their tactics but why is it so hard to acknowledge the deception of many of Barca's players?
So are you just as disguised in what Alves did? Or are you a hypocrite?
Lost in all the bull diving, playacting and false indignation is the work of art that was Messi's second goal. I know everyone saw it, I know everyone recognized its brilliance, but I don't think its been talked about enough really. Watch and appreciate god damned!
It was quite absurd, especially the finishing.
This is kind of why I wanted Xavi to win World Player of the Year last year. I said back then Messi's hasn't even shown his best work, so I wonder if they're prepared to give him the award for the next 5 years. Never seen another player like him in my lifetime.
I'm just pointing out Real and Llourinhos arguments are a joke....... He's talking about a conspiracy and crying and putting excuses and it's clear his team has been inferior.
What Alves did was shameful.
What Marcelo did was shameful.
what Pepe did was a red.
What Crouch did was a red.
Who's the hypocrite????????? it's pretty obvious it's Mourinho.
History of Real Madrid and the fascist dictatorship of Franco, who oppressed my people for years. Real was Franco's team, Real and Franco are synonymous.
Manny is always spouting his "People's Rights" stuff on ST about being for Ron Paul and a man opposed to govt oppression yet is a fan of a club that directly represents government oppression.
Just funny to me.
Even if what Manny was doing was rooting for Real, which I don't think he actually was, what you are saying is pretty much on par with the whole "Argentina harbored Nazis after WW2, so everyone who roots for their national team is a Nazi sympathizer".
Whottt would be proud
P.S. I didn't know that part of Real history. Sounds interesting. Will look into that
I suspected it and I was ing right. Barca was a ing diving gallery all game. If Alves got the type of contact that he reaction shown then he'd still be in the hospital right now. He got carried off on a stretcher and later sprinted back on the field
Busquets was the the funniest though. He gets a severe allergic facial reaction every time he makes contact with another player. The Alves incident only matters more because it likely cost Real some goals. If Alves isn't punished, this bull will only continue.

Are you saying I can't cheer for Real because Franco was a fan? I'm going to try to research into this, but I'm pretty sure this is just a Barca fan going to new depths of myopia and delusion.
I was rooting for them, but I've never heard anything like this so for him to call me a hypocrite is pretty damn funny. I guess from now on before becoming a fan of a sports team I'll have to research their history and if anyone bad was a fan of theirs I'll have to avoid rooting for them lest I be chastised on Spurstalk.

Good thing I wasn't cheering for Bayern Munich. God knows how much of a hypocrite I'd then be.
Wow, just a bit of googling on the subject shows that Barca fans put Spurs to shame on the inferiority complex. I guess if Cristiano Ronaldo straps on an AK and does something to pass laws against the people then I'll go ahead and never root for Madrid again.
Barca = Class, Freedom, and Life!
Messi really is god, huh?
Some of the in this thread is just gold.
What's "red herring" about my argument? I said that video footge can some times play visual tricks like I showed with that Argentina-Portugal play, IMO that video doesn't prove conclusively that Alves wasn't touch. But as I said, let's assume that in fact he wasn't touched, Pepe still deserved the red card for that reckless dangerous tackle.
People are missing the point that a plyer doesn't need to hit the guy to get sent off.
Were some Barca players diving like little es at every minimal touch? Yes (so were some Madrid players).
Was Pepe sent off unfairly? No.
P/S: The pics weren't to show that Alves was hit, they were to prove that Pepe didn't try to go for the ball.
You need to read my post again, tbh. The red herring was showing random RMD players being assholes - I don't remember you posting a video of RMD players in order to avoid the issue.
I've already agreed earlier that a dangerous tackle without contact can be disciplined. We'll have to agree to disagree on the decision about the red card. And again, I believe if Alves wasn't touched, he should be disciplined for simulation.
I had to make sure.
If, like you said, players have already been suspended for simulation, Alves should be suspended too, the thing is that IMO (and I think you agreed with me on this) that video isn't conclusive to penalize him.I've already agreed earlier that a dangerous tackle without contact can be disciplined. We'll have to agree to disagree on the decision about the red card. And again, I believe if Alves wasn't touched, he should be disciplined for simulation.
I don't know about that. You can quote angles all you want, that video seems pretty solid evidence Alves wasn't touched. Now, I still think Pepe's red was warranted, if not for the foul, ing karma, but Alves should be suspended as well.
The ing diving is an embarrassment to what would otherwise be the best football I've ever seen. Man the up and let the fouls come on their own.

It was a second yellow which led to the red dumbass....Pepe's challenge was a yellow at worst. If Alves gets up after the non challenge since he wasn't hit, it would probably have been a yellow.
Everyone knows that incident was disgraceful. What does that game have to do with CL semifinal game at the Bernabeu?Failblog needs your contact info ASAP
you mad?????? second yellow is what.... RED....... refs keep track of cards and they rarely show a red to a guy that already has a yellow.... they show second and red........ point is...no contact and flop.. and madrid playing against 10 (which according to Mourinho only baca does)
Do you know how to ing read? did I said it has to do with the game???? I just joked with it and that certainly show the guy has records of being a violent player.
