ouch talk about salt in the wound! without their best player what a choke
Scary... I wish we could pick that guy up but it would never happen.![]()

You can't call it a choke when you're not the best team. Oh well. We can sit on 4 les... mavs and grizz have nothing.
Sitting on the past isn't any fun.
They are playing better without Rudy. He just takes shots away from some of those guys who have been playing lights out.
We would have been better off with him playing tbh.
Grizz have been better this season with Tony Allen. And seeing the defense and the impact he had, I can understand why.
Scoring != winning.
Maybe... I don't know about that though.
Battier/Allen/Young splitting time > Rudy Gay at 100%
Memphis wasn't a playoff team before his injury. Became one after his injury.
Anybody who would have demanded shots and taken them away from Z-bo would have helped.
For some weird reason, I think if the Grizzlies actually had Rudy Gay they would have been worse off and he would've messed up team chemistry. Gay would've taken away alot of shots from Randolph and Gasol.....Anybody else feel like I do?
then why was their reg season record so much better
I think there's definitely something to be said for the idea that the Griz are better without Rudy. He really doesn't do much except shoot.
It will be interesting to see what happens when he comes back next year. Expectations will be high. If they don't play well, fingers will point at him.
memphis is better w/o gay, tbh. If gay was there he would be in chucker mode which will take away shots from randolph
He'll come back next season, and they'll go back to being a mediocre team. Book it....
He would have taken possessions away from Zbo and Gasol. I think the spurs would gladly take that.
Addition by subtraction my friend.
It is when you actually have accomplishments to look back on.
Rudy Gay is a barely-above average player. The Griz improved dramatically once he was injured.
