We should just trade him and Jefferson for someone else's bad contracts.
4-15 from downtown in 5 games...
New career high in minutes played in the playoffs (20.4)...
Any questions, chazley?
We should just trade him and Jefferson for someone else's bad contracts.
According to some around here, he doesn't deserve ANY more blame than any other guy on the team.
I mean, CLEARLY all he needed was just more time to get a rhythym. And more minutes.

Bonner is just not built for the postseason. I think his release litterally just changes when he's faced with the pressure of trying to get off a shot quick and under jittery conditions.
That being said, there's not a lot of 3 point shooters out there who are able to convert on a regular basis in the playoffs when the speed slows down and teams learn your strengths and can defend it better.
Who gives a . Bonner just added to the gimmick on the basketball court. This team was exploited for who they were. For some odd reason, this forum couldn't see it. As bad as Bonner was, he didn't lose this series.
Bonner is fine as the 5th big, not the 3rd.
I didn't put the series on him...
But he's part of the problem, and what we really need to start getting away from... soft, mentally weak players that fold when it matters playing an extended role in the team...
Agree. He should've been what Novak was this series...
but he spreads the floor!
3..2..1..Chazley
"The sample size is still not large enough"
You and I both know he will always be a rotation player for Pop as long as the guy has a pulse and a contract. Pop's decided all he has to do is keep trotting him out there and he'll turn into Horry one day.
It's like Finley. Pop just won't pull the plug unless he's not on our roster.
Bonner and Jefferson (and Pop's rotations and Buford's signings) are what's wrong with the Spurs.
Things won't be right until RJ and Bonner are out of uniform. Be that through trade, getting cut, or permanently deactivated, that is the situation.
I called this last summer as the reason why he shouldn't be re-signed... it's not that he doesn't try hard or that he can't be a decent 5th big, or play 5-10 mins a game... it's that Pop is so foolishly in love with him that he can't help himself from trotting him out there, while guys like Splitter, who need to be developed, are watching from the end of the bench.
A lot of people predicted that Bonner will vanish in the PO.
Why am I not surprised?
Good luck with him for 3 more years.
Look at the bright side... at least lots of Coach B videos will still be released.
Let's toast to this!

BUT HE SPACES THE FLOOR![]()
As long as Pop is around, there Bonner will be... forever.
I want to get rid of him together with RJ... but although RJ may be gone, Bonner will live.
Pop and Bonner are in love... I don't know why and how, but that's what it is.
This should come as no surprise to anyone.
The biggest surprise is that Pop, his coaching staff, and the FO continue to invest faith, dollars and playing time in this guy. He's almost treated as though he's a critical role player or something. Nothing could be furthe from the truth. On another club, he's be a 10th man.
Pop needs to recognize the shortcomings of his some of his own players.
What am I saying? It's three years since Horry has left the building and Bonner cannot even produce half of what Horry provided - at his advanced age even.
He is just a specialist who should get no more than 10 minutes a night.
You really can't trust him. He has proven what he can and can't do over that last four years. He is just a guy.
Thats how I see it.
hahahaahaha
nice one
Bonner before NBA

We're talking a guy who had a smaller role when he was on the Raptors. It's mind-boggling, really.
Playoff Bonner...'nuff said...
I hate Richard Jefferson more, tbh.
RJ is actually suppose to be a contributor. Bonner is what he is and Pop thinks that equals Robert Horry. Not Bonner's fault at all.
