    nope. not excited.

offensively, George Hill is probably capped out. defensively, he never became the player we hoped he would be. on a championship team, he's probably at best a 6th man. but he's so damn unreliable that you'd be getting an 8th man 1/2 the time. i don't think he'll ever be much better than he is.

Blair still has room for improvement offensively, but he's always going to struggle with his size. because of that he's at best a 3rd big off the bench, but realistically probably a 4th big.

James Anderson????? guess we'll find out next year. too early to really know what to think.

Splitter is starting big material when he caps out. a solid 13 point 9 rebound 1 block guy with a lot of intangibles that don't show up on the stat sheet. by far most upside out of any of our young players.

Neal is good, but a 7th man, career 3-point specialist with very limited ability to mix it up every now and then.

i like Novak, but there's probably a reason why he's never been able to stick with a team.

    No, not really..

Splitter, yes, he could be a starter, with some development and adjustment to the NBA..

I like Anderson, but he's already injury prone..he's good when be plays..

Neal is good, but he's not "young", and he doesn't play "young"..he's a good 8th man..

Hill still has the potential to be a great 6th man, Blair has the potential to be a good 4th big..

Not that exciting, IMO..Spurs don't have a young player with the potential to be a top 3 option, they don't have any perimeter defender prospects, and they don't have a prospect in the form of an athletic big to compliment Duncan and Splitter..
james anderson injury prone?hes only be hurt once and hes injury prone....

Yes I like the young guys, Butler and Anderson the most as they have the most upside. Splitter is not young nor is Neal but they could be solid role players. Right now we lack a star player.

If we could find a frontcourt defender who can score, like a Kamen and or make a deal for a Josh Smith then I think we could be in the mix next year. Bottom line, like a said early this year TD sould not be playing more than 60 games prior to playoffs.

Manu needs to come off the bench and give us a killer second unit. I think the spurs are gonna go all out this summer to make us a contender because I think this is TD and Manus last season.
Spurs went all out two summers ago. it didn't pan out. bad FA decision to sign RJ at all last summer obviously. and i was on the bandwagon, too.

if you don't sign RJ maybe you're able to throw money at Battier and David West this summer and then contend next year. i don't see any scenario where the Spurs bring in a player the calibre of David West next year w/o giving up Manu or TP.
