    Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, after his team eliminated the Portland Trail Blazers:
    "Everybody thinks we didn't have what it takes," Mark Cuban said. "Everybody was a prognosticator. Everybody was wrong. Our guys just showed a lot of heart, so I'm really proud of them."
    All three of SBNation.com's NBA editors -picked the Mavericks over the Blazers. Five of the eight contestants in TrueHoop's Stat Geek Smackdown picked the Mavericks. Even Las Vegas picked the Mavericks as favorites! The whole "nobody believed in us!" trope in sports is reaching absurd levels, with Cuban a prime example.

    Mark Cuban is a child stuck in a 50 or 51 year old body.

    Living in the Dallas area makes it really easy to dislike the Mavericks - especially since Cuban bought the team.

    He is a bully, a punk, and a jerk too.

    I might actually enjoy seeing the Lakers win a playoff series for once if it means watching Markie Mark get that "The world is against us" look.

    I'm sure PJ is going to get insulted by this moron at some point in this series (not that he cares).
