mvp of the league exposed
You know?
will be the worst MVP selection in recent memory. at least nash proved later he deserved his first mvp. rose will have to do the same. i don't know if he can do it.
Guys, this is not an overreaction. Dude shot 38% against the Pacers and shot what 11/30 tonight?
This kid is likeable and has a bright future but an MVP, he is not.
Rose is more of a second option IMO, not a lot of difference between him and Westbrook tbh, though Westbrook is just dumber. But pair Rose with a another 1st option and this kid will give you championships.
but he had 24 and 10 so nobody's gonna blame him![]()
His team sucked, he tried to make big shots, and didnt succees
It happens
He deserves the MVP
I don't think he's overrated, it depends on how highly you think of him, obviously..
I don't think he's a top 5 player, but he did deserve MVP..
He's had a little bit of Kobe treatment this season/playoffs... no matter how bad he plays or shoots whether it be 6-20 or 8-25 its somewhat overlooked and ignored. There is always a positive spin put on it by the media. If the Bulls win its always due to a couple of baskets by Rose even if he shot 30%... if they lose its due to a lack of help from team mates.
Seems that way anyway.
I agree to an extent, that's the post-Gasol trade NBA..as long as your team wins, your potentially poor performance is ignored..
I wouldn't say he's overrated, though, but I don't listen to the media too much, in regards to ranking players..
Precisely mystargtr
Yep, he is. Always shoots horrible % but no one says a word about that!
I used to think Shaq desered the MVP in 2006 and Lebron in 2007, but looking at it now, Nash really deserved those MVP's. That guy was really balling and playing at such a high efficiency.
He's regarded as the best player in the game by some, top 5/elite by most, he's definitely overrated. He deserved the MVP though.
Not overrated, IMO but didn't deserve the mvp but considering other mvp options they had to choose him
So many Spurs fan had this guy's in their mouth for the one game he lit them up. Now...
My thoughts. He's not top 5 but he's the most valuable piece on his team. Without him they win 30 games.
I would've just given it to Durant, if not him then Dwight, Dirk or Lebron tbh. But I understand that story matters the most to the media and Rose' angle is the best among them all. Still, Rose is a pretty horrible MVP pick he still has a lot of flaws in his game and he's pretty inefficient, quite possibly the most inefficient winner since Iverson.
The problem Rose is running into is that teams can let him go off, and key on every other player. No one person can win a series.
Same thing can be said about Dwight, Durant and Dirk. None of their teams would survive w/o their respective franchise player.
LOL the "pau era" ...
That's a very solid take. I remember reading a post from one of the Bulls moderator in RealGm and he said the same thing. He also said that defending Rose is quite easy. All you have to do is just give him a small room and even if its a bad shot, Rose will take it. That's why his shooting % is horrible. He doesnt get it yet and that's quite understandable for a 3rd year player.
