Some in' things in this universe are just law. Gravity, inertia, Koolaid_Man welching, and the Lakers never losing to an inferior franchise such as the _allas Chokericks (see what I there? I purposely left out the D because it's a known fact, another "law" if you will, that the Mavericks don't play defense. I also changed their name to the Chokericks, because of their many playoff failures).
Kobe Bryant, a god among men, and Baby Drew will not the let the Lakers lose. They just won't.
This is how this is gonna play out, which will make a great segue into the Western Conference Finals section on the Lakers 2010-11 Championship DVD.
Lakers split in Dallas. They take care of business in game 5 at Staples. Game 6, the Mavs go up 20 in the 3rd, looking poised to advance to the WCF. All you hardened artery Spurs and Mavs fans are collectively circle jerking yourselves into an oblivion on here, declaring the Lakers dead in the water. Then, Kobe juts out the jaw. He hits 5 straight shots, triggering a 14-2 run to end the 3rd, bringing us within 8.
Kobe continues his hot streak into the 4th, while NoRINGski chokes on yet another . Lakers close out strong and win by 5, with Kobe scoring 46.
Game 7 is nothing but formality. Lakers cruise.

The more serious issue for the Lakers than PnR defense, Pau's play and the 3-point shooting is the fact that at this point Dallas has shown no fear of their HCA, which has been a strongsuit for the LA even after stumbling out the gate in recent years. They're going to have to show they aren't scared of Dallas' if they want to make this a series.
Mavs did with Houston just a few years ago. No reason why the 2 time champs won't have a good chance at it.
