im surprised peiople are still watching this. These finalist are probably the worst in AI history.
My interest has almost waned completely ... I really am not fond of any that are left.
The Voice has caught my attention.
Strange thing happened this week. I missed AI and didn't give a . Now I think I might stop watching altogether since we all know Jimmy Ivine will only focus on Pia's record and have some kids with protools create the AI winner's record. Blah.
This week's theme, contestants will sing both a current song and a '60s tune.
Weird AI season for me. My early favorite, Casey, turned out to be just weird, even if he can play every instrument known to man. I didn't care for James at first, but I have been really impressed with how consistently good he is, and Hayley has grown on me. I thought she was really good last night. Scotty annoys the crud out of me. The others... meh. So my top 2 are James and Hayley. I think the country vote will get split tonight and Scotty will go home. Then Jacob, then Lauren.
I gave up on this show. Haley is hawt. That is all.
From best to worst:
1. Haley- Good performances on both songs! Has come on strong past 2-3 weeks. I think she could win AI.
2. Scotty- Like JLo said,"No judging here". Two performances plus the dude is ready to record TODAY!!
3. Lauren- Good job on both songs! I thought her second performance was her best thus far. I think Haley has past her though.
4. James- Did an o.k. job on both songs, but it's funny without a (would be famous guitar player), James looks like any dude trying to sing a rock song. On the second song I think James was trying to win votes by being emotional. People will be moved by his crying.
5. Jacob- I thought he sang both songs well, but I guess people are being turned off b/c they don't like his type of music. Well, I probably don't either but I try to listen to his voice and in my "unprofessional" opinion he has a good voice!

I wish AI would tell JLo to shut the up!!! Her constant interupting is irritating!!
I only caught a little bit but saw James and Scotty. James didn't do all that well and I thought Scotty just plain sucked.
And J-Lo is hot.

The show has gotten progressively worse the past several weeks.
Jacob needs to go home as he is just flat-out boring. I actually think Haley might go home tonight even though I liked her second performances. I just don't know if she picked two popular enough songs. Jimmy really screwed her up with the first song she sang and it looks like she was pissed after she heard the judges reaction. She was probably pushed into doing that song.
House of the Rising Sun was good, but the teen girls that vote for that show have no idea who The Animals are.
There are many things that bother me about AI this season. Too much to point out, but one of the things that gets on my nerves is what James did in yesterday's performance. I know that James is trying to get the crowd involved but in my opinion James or the other contestants have not "earned" the right to "high five" the audiance! James is still a nobody! Just get up there and sing!! I've brought up Simon Cowell and I'll bring him up again. If he were still a judge, he would've let James know about that right away!!
She may be hot but she's irritating!! She interupts Randy all the time. Hopefully she'll be replaced next season!!
There is no way that Scotty is a better singer than Jacob. Totally ridiculous.
This week sucked, again. The contestants were mostly, if not all, much more appealing before the actual Top 11 started. They had their own "voices" and did what they wanted to do for the most part, then the record company started turning them into products for the record companies to sell instead of artists for America to vote for.
I heard Jacob turned the stage into a gospel concert when he left. Everyone was convinced he was a front runner when he did that at the start, but there's no doubt the record companies pushed him away from it. Meanwhile, Scotty gets to rehash country over and over, bringing absolutely nothing new or spectacular to it. Haley still sucks. Lauren is good, but she's just there. James will win without much of a fight, or at least he should win. Ughhhh, I don't see how the show survives like this.

Also...when the THEN & NOW songs were sung....it is pretty clear that NOW sucks....and THEN was pretty in' great songwriting.

The idols seem to take Jimmys words pretty badly last night. The reason it affected them so much is that they havent heard any critique from the judges all year. I believe the idols got too used to the "That was beautiful" phrases and sugar coated critiques. It's about time someone in the show mentioned how it really is. I for one think that the producers added Jimmys review to make up for the lack of "judging" by the judges. And i absolutely weclome it.

I just saw the last 15 minutes of this. This may touch on TheMachine's post, but man, how do you think Lauren is gonna take it when she gets booted. I say she's next. I'll be surprised if she's able to do her last song when that time comes. Oh, and Haley is still hawt.
Lauren willher eyes out. Then, she'll get ready for their Summer Tour.
Just give it to James and get over it.
