That's not even a ing pipe dream... you just pissed me off.
Sing AK-47 AKA Andrei Kirilenko. I have been wanting to see him in Spurs uniform since he joined NBA. He is Bruce v.2.0, and has Spurs written all over him.
He is coming of a 17mi contract, but I think he would take a pay-cut to content for a ring. 7mi per year should get it done.
Also the grizzlies, can't keep both Marc Gasol and Arthrur and Battier after the fat contract they gave to Zack Randolf. I wish we could sign one of them!
How about the Lakers?! After the Mavs series, I think they ll blow the team, TP + ... for Pau or LO +.. for TP?
G Hill Manu AK-47 Pau/Mark TD --would be awesome!!!
don't forget we beat the Mavs with G Hill Manu starting and TP coming off the bench.
Thoughts?
That's not even a ing pipe dream... you just pissed me off.
you don't like Andrei kirilenko or you refuse to see that TP can't carry the team. Which one is it?
I think it's hilarious.. well not hilarious.. insulting.. that you would think we have a chance at getting AK47... Pau, Marc, or Odom...
this pipe dream of yours is better of hitting urself with a pipe for hypothesis trades
The Grizzlies gave the Rockets a future 1st so they can dump Thabeets contract to free the money they need to re-sign Marc.
Marc and Zach are a perfect match, of course they will pay Marc. S5 locked up for ~50-55m + a cheap bench.
Duncan opts out and signs a longer deal around $10 million a year
Getting Marc Gasol, and Stephen Jackson, while getting rid of RJ
Trade Hill for a real point guard or a high draft pick in the teens this year
Draft Chris Singleton with that pick and picking Lucas Nogueria with our own pick
try to see if you can get value for Blair(I would love and Bonner(lmao), for any high second round draft picks to develop, I really like Jordan Williams, pretty much a bigger Blair, and Jon Leuer a better defending, and shot creating Matt Bonner, would be nice if we could get a high second round draft pick to take one of them or maybe both of them.
Marc Gasol/Tiago Splitter
Tim Duncan/Jordan Williams/Jon Leuer
Stephen Jackson/Da'sean Butler/Chris Singleton
Manu/ Gary Neal/James Anderon
Parker/Back up point guard-Mike Bibby? Leandro Barbosa?
only I can dream
Then Call it a offseason
Jefferson gets traded, that is the dream.
Forget Gasol... Spurs need to trade for DH12. CP3 too.
Why not get trade for Lebron and Randolph while you're at it?
The young Spurs become superstars overnight, and the draft picks also become superstars next season. Duncan, Ginobili, and McDyess kidnap Jack Sparrow and make him take them to the fountain of youth. They find it and go back to their prime ages and will never get old again.
You didn't say how big of a pipe to use.
Don't use a question mark next time.
Allow me to "one-up" you. Getting rid of both RJ and Bonner's albatross-level contracts - that would be the "ultimate" dream.
As for AK47, there's several reasons why this isn't a good idea. He's coming off a killer contract and will be hitting the open market for the first time as an unrestriced free agent. While I'm not sure what his market value will be, but I'd have to think that perhaps he'll likely probably be looking for a contract at least somewhere in the neighborhood of RJ's. If so, that would surely put him out of the Spurs price range.
He's a good team player and one who has certainly made his presence felf on the defensive end, but I wouldn't call him a continuous impact player. Judging his performance versus his inflated contract, he's not not lived up to his price tag.
Another reason against AK is the fact that he's not a youngster. He's going into 11th season, meaning he's got more of his career behind him, than in front of him.
The Spurs are one year away from undergoing a cyclical overhaul, which means they need to be more concerned with acquiring young players and draft picks, rather than overpaid free agents.

lol.....then I read this
/thread^2
Hahaha, offseason pipe dreams
This sounds like a play that Jefferson would write about his summer
That's cold.
