What cons utes "mainstream" conservatism these days?
Fox "News" certainly seems to have a wide enough audience to qualify.
Quite frankly the definition of what is conservative seems to have evolved quite substantially to the right in the last 20 years.
That may be my bias, but it is a fairly widespread impression.
While I have met some fairly reasonable conservatives here and in person, I think the average conservative these days is getting downright kooky-right, especially given the way moderates are villified in the Republican party.
If you want to claim Pat Dollard is not representative of a "mainstream" conservative viewpoint, then you will have to give me something that you think qualifies.
